I'll skip Taylor and Chip or Anwar and Fatass Ketch's version of fantasy and just wait for Jason Higdon's post-signing day reveal. LOL, my friend.

If anybody thinks CDC went into this with a list of Harrell, Brady, or bust - you’re a fucking imbecile.

Hopefully nobody actually thinks that but in the complete absence of any reliable information we're just doing what surly does best.

Honestly, this makes me more confident that it's Harrell and that the deal will be done soon.

Two thoughts on Johnny Belichick

1. To separate himself from his dad, he had to raise the stakes on trashiness from the cutoff sleeve hoodie to rocking a mullet and handle bar in suburban New England?

2. Are there other examples of blatant nepotism like this that worked out where the son became a deserving coach? Many times there are football families where the dad played and coached and the son played and coached. This dude seems like nothing but a gravy trainer who went from smoking J’s behind the Attleboro Stop’n’Shop to being an NFL analyst, to safeties coach, and being given increased camera time to legitimize him so he can be DC next (for the Patriots or elsewhere).

If Belichicks kid is even 1/8 a good a coach as his dad he’s inherently better than Herman. Everything you hear about Bill not in front of reporters he seems like a very likeable guy. He expects detail and the best and it’s great how he is with reporters.

Probably doesn’t trust them and is guarded. Reporters will befriend you to your face and fuck you over in the editing.

Steve would do well at recruiting. His personal and his family’s history with players and success on the field would overshadow lack of charisma. IMO. Art Briles is a complete cunt and parents send their kids to be apart of his rape program.

Kyle was a once in a generation picket fence hurdler, and he has a BFF tatt with Chris Simms. In seriousness, this is a pretty good example, but at least spent most of his career not working for his father, even if he used the name to get the first few jobs.

He was 3 year starter at linebacker for UH before getting a job coaching under Yeoman.

This was about being a successful coach, not running Tinder game as Joey Freshwater.

Forget it, he’s on a roll.

Steve Belichick career:

Private school HS lacrosse player

2008-2011 Rutgers lacrosse with part of one season as a long snapper for his dad’s buddy Greg Schiano

2012 hired by his dad as assistant for Patriots

2016 promoted to safeties coach

2019 given some defensive play calling responsibilities

And if he did earn it, what a coincidence that his younger brother Brian is also an assistant coach for the Pats right now, hired straight out of undergrad where he also played lacrosse!

From the fcb thread:  "One source said Harrell told Herman late last week that he’s going to stay at USC. But I couldn’t confirm that, so we didn’t report it. But in the last two days, I’ve heard more information from those connected to Harrell that would lead me to believe Herman is going to have to focus his offensive coordinator search elsewhere. Obviously, things can change in a heartbeat in situations like this because of, well, counter offers (or even a last-minute, private plane flight with the school president to Tulsa — just kidding!!)."

He played football.

so did Wade Phillips.

A whole lot of coaches sons play football and then go into coaching.

Coaches sons who don’t play like Bellichek but coach are rare.

Thanks, that was what I was trying to say. There are plenty of successful second generation coaches, but I don’t know of any who got their gigs solely based on nepotism without playing the game or earning their skins elsewhere and went on to successful careers.

Get this guy in the living rooms of parents and talking to players on the roster about their personal lives stat.

This guy is going to replace Lincoln Riley at OU and we are going to laugh at how he is so awkward and can't recruit and that he is a perfect fit for the state of Oklahoma and then he is going to ass blast a far more talented Texas team in Dallas. Because that is just the waking fucking nightmare that has been Texas football the last 10 years.

We’ve been getting ass blasted on the regular by OU for a lot longer than 10 years.

Art Briles is a cunt, but he doesn’t lack any form of social appeal. He fucking has the aw shucks, small town man of god thing down stone fucking cold. He can recite bible verses blindfolded while he and Craig Janes asphyxiate multiple hookers. There’s a huge range of parents and kids to which that has great appeal.
