Figured this was as good a time as any to get this thread rolling, even though they are already a few events into the season.

This is the Asian Pacific swing on the Tour - CJ Cup at Nine Bridges in Korea this week, ZOZO championship in Japan next week (with the Tiger/Rory, Day, Matsuyama skins game in Japan on Monday 10/21). Golf Channel coverage starts tonight, in to the early morning , And then the WGC HSBC in Shanghai (that could be interesting, politically....wonder what LeBron thinks about it)

Spieth plays his first event starting tomorrow (well really tonight), paired with Sergio and Fleetwood.
Other "names" playing this week are JT, Day, Koepka , Slim Phil,
And some of last years rookie stars - Hovland, Wolf, Morikawa,
And a few we don't like - Willett, Poulter, JB

This article indicates that the Houston Open will have a fall date

Quote

nstead of directly preceding the Masters in April, the tournament now falls before the Tour’s lucrative Asian Swing.

“I’m learning that in the fall, players are interested in chasing the big money internationally and playing overseas,” Callaway told Golf.com earlier this week. “That’s not up to me to figure that out, but up to the Tour to help out because there are tournaments here who are saying, ‘What about us?’

“Hopefully we can force the Tour’s hand to move us.”

Harmon, who as the event’s new recruiter is tasked with luring the big names back to Houston, believes that will happen. Harmon said that Crane met with Tour commissioner Jay Monahan on Wednesday to discuss another date change, even if it means moving just a few weeks earlier in the fall.

Saw the Houston Open on the other day. Is that the new schedule permanently or are they going to try to move it back to the Spring? Holy shit it was a bunch of no names. Houston should have a much bigger presence on the tour than that.

Agreed. That was one of the worst fields I've ever seen. Always enjoyed the Houston Open, so hopefully it can attract some bigger names to come back.
