Bobby Burton doesn't sound enthused by Yurcich discussion (admits he doesn't know Yurcich either).  Says Herman hanging on to power spread may be a mistake -- wants Texas to get WRs more open in space and use more movement in its offense.  So a Harrell or Brady type OC might improve Texas offense more than a guy running similar style like Yurcich.

Burnt Orange Nation Podcast -- Gerald Goodridge and Kyle Carpenter

"December 24, 2019 - Potential Coordinators and NSD1"

https://player.fm/series/burnt-orange-nation-for-texas-longhorns-fans/december-24-2019-potential-coordinators-and-nsd1

Stadium's Brett McMurphy reported Sunday that Ohio State Buckeyes passing game coordinator Mike Yurcich is the lead candidate for the Texas Longhorns' vacant offensive coordinator position. Prior to Ohio State, Yurcich spent six seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, calling plays for high-powered Mike Gundy offenses.

Whoever ends up as the offensive coordinator will have plenty of players to slot into his system, as Texas secured the signatures of 17 athletes as part of the early signing period. How do they fit into the short and long-term at Texas and who will contribute early?

Burnt Orange Nation Podcast »December 31, 2019 - Mike Yurcich is Official

https://player.fm/series/burnt-orange-nation-for-texas-longhorns-fans/december-31-2019-mike-yurcich-is-official

The Texas Longhorns finally named an offensive coordinator, as Mike Yurcich takes over following a short stay as the Ohio State Buckeyes passing game coordinator. In the six seasons prior to Ohio State, Yurcich was the OC for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, leading their offense to several record- setting years with Oklahoma State.

What should we expect under a new offensive regime and what could the coaching staff look like in 2020 and beyond?
