DNC:  "Sec. Clinton, along with the Bloomberg campaign, we'd like to extend the offer for you to join him on the Presidential ticket as the nominee for Vice President."

Hillary:  "Fuck you.  The veep slot is beneath me and you fucking know it.  You guys fucked in me in '08 and you're fucking me now.  I wouldn't take the spot if you told me Mike would die the day after inauguration."

DNC:  "You'd have to chance to fuck with Bernie one last time."

Hillary:  "Where do I sign?"

So my father-in-law was at the Houston Bloomberg event. My kids Facetimed w/ him the other night and he's wearing a goddamn Bloomberg 2020 t-shirt.

Ideologically, he's for Bernie or Warren but he is afraid of Republicans labeling Bernie a socialist and doubts his electability. He also likes Bloomberg's story, which resonates with his own – Jewish kid who grew up and realized the American Dream as a business owner. (Net worths are quite different, however.)

I asked him if he supported George W. Bush or the Iraq War. He said no, of course not. I asked him why he supports a candidate who endorsed both.

He has no answers for Bloomberg's misogyny, sexual harassment, racist policies, racist comments, or Bloomberg's political interference/bribery; he's just hellbent on Anyone But Trump and thinks Bloomberg represents the best chance at that. This is a guy who voted Trump in the Texas primary because he thought Trump would get smoked in the general, so ya know, stellar political instincts.

I told him I wasn't speaking to him if he votes Bloomberg on Super Tuesday, only half-joking.

Oh, little late, but I think Bloomberg is the best for moderates and people don't want Trump in the Republican party.

The only thing he won't liked for is guns.

I don't really know his other policies though.

I guess the recent boners for Bloomberg in here negates the claim that the CR is a leftist echo chamber. I think it also highlights the class divide the Bros keep bringing up. The whole thing feels gimmicky to me, let's nominate an actual NYC billionaire to shit talk Trump about who really is a successful businessman. It just seems like more Reality TV programming.

I also find the general acceptance of his apology regarding "stop and frisk" comical. "Well, he said he was sorry, that's good enough for me." Fuck that shit, you don't get to abuse civil liberties when you are in power only to regret that abuse when you are asking for more power.

He also takes credit for ending it. The courts did.

That’s all probably true, but I’d bet on the guy running ads about knocking out Biff and Johnny Lawrence way before someone talking about actual policies.  This is 2020 America.  His massive ad buys and friendly media relationship is probably going to work.

I remain convinced that Dwayne the Rock Johnson with top dollar entertainment (not political) marketing people behind him would be the most formidable candidate for President of anyone in the country.

Mike Judge is a genius.

Two people who never served the public for a day in their life money whipping the country into having to pick one of them with no other option is about as close to a full on nightmare as one can get. The only thing worse has already happened in 2016. But Bloomberg versus Trump would not make me happy.

Bloomberg is an authoritarian, the NYPD with his blessing harrassed and arrested blacks, browns and Muslims. Took aggressive measures against anti-War protesters and Occupy Wall Street protesters. He was on the Dubya Pro-War train along with the Patriot Act and war on terror. Then you have all of the other shit like trans fat, smoking, Big Gulp, gun regulations and it's just not pretty. He is a collection of the worst qualities from the Right and Left.

Article on the mass incarceration of protesters and innocent bystanders at the 2004 Republican Convention in NYC.

Does this sound a little familiar?

Deputy Police Commissioner Paul J. Browne said the allegations were false and denied conditions were hazardous, noting police installed lights, ventilation, sanitary facilities and other amenities.

Among the bystanders who were arrested were a 15-year-old diabetic girl on her way to a movie and a former vice president of Morgan Stanley who was riding her bicycle.

Barbara Friedman, who had encouraged her 16-year-old daughter’s participation in a peaceful protest, said she could not find her for two days. “I just see all our civil liberties slipping away,” Friedman said. “It’s very, very frightening.”

Moore said the treatment of those who were arrested violated “a bedrock principle of our democracy — that the police cannot simply sweep the streets because they find protest inconvenient or embarrassing.”

The present leadership of the DNC and its assorted media arms is so in need of change. They starting this linking of arms with the Never-Trumper Republicans months ago.

Now the people who lost to Trump in his Republican nomination and the people who lost to Trump in the General Election are pushing the Republican Mayor of New York as what you will back. How good are they at elections against Trump? 0/2.  These people are smart, but horrible at strategy. I am not talking about people of good faith who want Trump gone. I am talking about the nitwits who claim to speak for you.

Bloomberg is going to fail horribly in the general election. Any candidate with Trump's flaws or weaknesses make Trump immune to those attacks.

That has been his whole presidency. He says - "Tell me what anyone did and got away with it and I will do the same thing and say,  'you never told him or her it was wrong when they did it.'"  It is the never ending abuse cycle. It erodes trust. He knows it.

Trump repeats that over and over again. He will have Bloomberg in a spin cycle. And the voters will tune out, not care, not vote - nothing changing. Again.

Democrats need a hopeful message. Bloomberg ain't it.

@smuggs I never noticed until F250 posted this gif how much Conway resembles the pic of Spicoli in your avatar. Weird.

@washparkhorn why is it that for a buncha smart people, the Democratic Party cannot get a unified intelligent media strategy and campaign organization? I don't want them to go all 'cult' like Trump, but one would think that if they sat and rank ordered their priorities they could come up with something coherent.

Most Democratic political consultants don’t actually understand politics. They simply poll people on issues and orient campaigns around what those polls tell them is popular. The concept of changing voters’ minds is alien to them.

Over the years I've been called 'coon', 'uncle tom', 'sellout' and a bunch of other shit by friends, family and strangers. Words that I would never have used against another black person over politics. Until now..And I never thought I that I would truly see a 'house negro' in my time. spacer.png

(He probably had everyone of them stopped and frisked before allowing them on stage).

Any black person that supports this racist asshole is a sellout, no two ways about. A fucking black quisling! Why else would they support this shit? After all the bullshit said about 'stop and frisk', red lining, profiling now they are on stage skinning, grinning, shucking and jiving. A bunch of fucking props just for money. And the saddest part is they have other viable options, but they willingly chose the racist with the biggest wallet. P-A-N's can't say shit about Trump and his racism.

If Trump is such a racist, asshole shit lord, then WTF is Bloomberg? He's Trump and them some. He just hid it better, paid people off. Democrat hypocrisy at it's finest.

And for all you good folks, who are going to 'hold your nose' and vote for Bloomberg..bullshit. You will be everything that you have said about Trump supporters. You were just pretending to be something else because of politics.

I didn't vote for Trump the first time and had not planned on voting for him in November. So this isn't about getting Trump re-elected. But if Bloomberg is the dem nominee, I will be voting for Trump. I'd rather deal with the asshole who has the balls to say it to my face. Rather than the pussy, who will smile in my face, pat me on the back and then sic the cops on me.

You were going to vote for Trump anyway.

Why not just stay home or leave the top line blank?

I'm not voting for Bloomberg, either.

You know I’ve avoided spilling the beans here bc I didn’t want to start more Bernie Bro wars but co sign for the Latinos. The young ones at least. Give me the racists in the white hoods and red hats over the sly ones. I wouldn’t vote for Trump bc fuck that puto but I would be at home.

Y'all covering for Bloomberg to protect your money. I’ll just say this as nicely as I can. You are choosing your loose change to better your life and causing catastrophic circumstances for others if you vote Bloomberg over Bernie.

Your tax cuts vs black and brown people being stopped in the street. No white community would stand for this bullshit.

Your tax cuts vs students drowned in student debt. Debt you’ve never experienced out the gate.

Etc etc I could go on. Fuck all of you who question a person for staying home and not tolerating shit like this. My vote is for something. My vote is not against anything. Especially when those two things are the same fucking thing.

Just my thoughts. Not wasting anymore time on this cocksucker bc he’s going nowhere anyway. It’s in the bag.

Yeah, Trump "says it to your face."  That's why the entire state of the union was basically a "look here, I have a black friend" speech and why he quotes the black unemployment rate constantly. It's weird because I 100 percent agree with you that Bloomberg is a shitty old racist POS that shouldn't be nominated.  It's also hard to take you seriously because we all know you're voting R regardless of Trump or who the Democrat is.  People with a posting history on this and the other site should really use a sock if you want us to take your concern trolling seriously.
