A guy I work with had to wake his wife up one day at like 5am because something was fucking him up and he couldn’t find it. He had used a mirror between his legs to try to see it and still couldn’t. He had to wake her up and ask her to look between his legs. Turned out he had a tick on his taint. emoji23.png

Hey, hon, while you're down there....

This was me and In n Out when they first opened in AZ. Huge hype, lines around the parking lot, it was all everyone was talking about. Finally got a burger, took a bite, and said "the fuck are people so excited about??"

If you would have tried the fries first you probably would have just thrown the burger away.

Yes, In-n-out fries are very trivial, and they make me very surly.  They should pay us to take them away from the restaurant and dispose of them in a cardboard recycling box.  No, cardboard has more flavor.

Or when it’s been a really long time since you ate at a place that you thought sucked and then decide to give them another try, only to find out that they still suck.

I’m looking at you, Roosters. I forgot just how badly your wings suck. I threw most of them in the trash.

been to the one on hamilton rd way too much.

Carl's Junior Famous Star >>>> In-N-Out Cheeseburger, and it's not even close.

We're doing a full kitchen renovation and a I have a belly full of grievances...

  1. I want to re-use my oven, so I'm looking at matching built-in microwaves. WHY IN THE LIVING HELL are they double the price of an over-the-range model that has the extra function of having a hood?

  2. I get the Covid delays... but everything is back-ordered at least until mid-July.

  3. The built-in microwaves have doors that swing down like an oven. I mean let's just put the door EXACTLY where a human would be standing when they're putting things in / takings things out of the microwave.

  4. Bosch not making a countertop microwave so I can just get that and a trim kit.

  5. Doing a kitchen renovation at all...

Doing a kitchen reno right now too. Contractor did the demo a month ago. Supply chain constraints mean we’re another 7-8 weeks out. Not easy living in a house with no kitchen.

I've decided when I remodel our kitchen I'm just going to have a cabinet with doors on it to hide the microwave. The built-in ones are a racket.

Get rid of the microwave and get a steam oven.

Do it.

Neighbors that refuse to pick up the trash in their yard or on the sidewalk in front of their house.

My across the street neighbor had a half-full Sonic cup wrapped in shrink wrap (left by some delivery schmuck) on the sidewalk in front of his house for a week now.

He has refused to pick it up as has his lawn service guy.

Finally this morning I had enough and, when completing the morning walk of my trusted hounds, I picked up the danged thing and threw it away.

Is the guy blind, stupid, lazy or apathetic?  All four?

That’s all? Went to look for a new loveseat about 6 weeks ago. Backordered until “at least” November, but expect January/February most likely.

Fuck that.

I was expecting this too when looking for a couch, but living spaces is getting ours delivered in just over a week.

When you are cordial enough to let someone into traffic only for them to be the slowest driver on earth and you can not now get around them because of a steady stream of cars coming around the left hand lane.

Not a perfect correlation, of course, but it's not a coincidence that some timid dipshit moron who should never have been granted a driver's license in the first place is the very same kind of driver that also needs a lot of help from all of the other motorists to accomplish basic tasks like merging.

And if you cut me off a simple wave will get me to not follow you home as well

Just like an "oops, my bad, I acknowledge that I fucked you there - sorry!" can flip your attitude towards another driver 180° from rage to appreciation, so too can the act of another driver not turning on their headlights after you flash them a reminder. Your mindset goes from "I want to help this person be safe and avoid an accident" to "I hope that asshole gets mangled in a single car crash right here and now so I can watch" in the span of a few seconds.

And if someone can help me remember what comedian made that observation about headlights, I would appreciate it.

That's actually not a bad idea.

My designer will probably flip a lid if I change another thing, but I'll definitely consider it if I get to save $1,000 on the appliance alone.

There is a state highway near my home that I drive on everyday.  People habitually drive in the left hand lane at a rate of speed that dictates that they should stay in the right hand lane.  This highway has a particularly long left hand turn lane that can accumulate a lot of cars in it to prevent them from backing up into the highway to turn left. I will get into the left hand turn lane, at its beginning, to make the forthcoming left hand turn.  Invariably, in doing so I often pass the slow poke drivers in the left hand land only to have them almost hit me as they clumsily wait to the last moment to get into the turn lane without paying attention.

All 20 Six Flags Fiesta Texas guests, previously stuck on a rollercoaster, have been safely rescued, according to a park spokesperson.

Jeff Filicko, Six Flags Fiesta Texas marketing and communications manager, issued the following statement to KSAT about the rescue:

At approximately 11:54 AM, the Poltergeist coaster stopped in the middle of a ride cycle.

In cooperation with the San Antonio Fire Department, we safely escorted all twenty guests from the ride.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The safety of our guests is our highest priority, and the ride will remain closed while we complete a full inspection.

Twitter in general, but more specifically, 30-page Twitter threads, and the people who repost them and say things like "you have to read it all."

Yeah, I’m not reading a Twitter thread. Start a blog or get an op-ed published. I might not read that either but I’m not reading a Twitter thread.

Also, there ought to be a setting where anyone who makes ten consecutive posts that are just embedded tweets automatically goes on my ignore list. I know where Twitter is. If I wanted to join it and follow anyone, I would. I don’t need you to be my filter for things you find interesting on Twitter. Here’s an idea — try coming up with your own thoughts and posting those.

Having a nice 3 day weekend to get things around the house done and you have the pressure washer ready to go and find no O ring in the quick connect for the nozzles.  Water going sideways  instead of forward.

I see a trip to The Home Creepo in my future.
