2020 Golden Globes Awards

They go back to Ricky Gervais for hosting.

No Game of Thrones nomination is correct but has to be a huge disappointment for HBO (although it's never been a GG fave).  Good to see Chernobyl get several nominees and Succession up for best Drama.  Is it a drama?

For movies, Scorcese and the Irishman is up for several as is the Joker.  Might it be ironic if The Joker beat The Irishman?  Probably give it to the Two Popes.

This has to be one of the largest singular groups of the most shallow and narcissistic assembled in one place.  During Gervais intro, they were literally looking at each other to determine whether or not they should laugh or find anything funny.  Fake.

Salma's tits are not fake and I appreciate them greatly.

Did any streaming services shows or movies get awards tonight? Seems Netflix got shut out.

laura dern for marriage story and olivia colman for the crown were the only netflix winners i think.

hbo did well (succession, chernobyl), big screen movies did well (once upon a time, 1917).

Gervais saying “kill me” after long, droning duo of Phoenix and Zellweger was greatness

I thought that was the funniest, and led  to the ‘get drunk, take your drugs and Fuck off” ending.   Lulz.  Perfect
