Need help pricing a vehicle

Recommended Posts

1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Hasn't run for years and is parked under cover at one of the ranches.
Hunters are asking about buying it and I have no idea how to price it. When it broke down I think it was
something very simple, like replacing the starter. Having sat for years there will be some fuel tank / fuel
system stuff that will have to be replaced. I've seen these in working condition for 5-8k? Any ideas? Thx

Thx for responses. The hunters are asking for the price and no offers have been made yet.
On the one hand I'd probably take $1000 to not have to deal with it... on the other these jeeps have high
resale and I think this one will run again without breaking the bank. Gamble for me.. gamble for the hunters I guess.

i did KBB at 75000 and the base equipment and 'fair' condition.

private party sale is a range of $3556 to $5419.

Just because it's not running, it might just be a $500 repair or a fuel pump.  That's all stuff I'm guessing you know?

I agree with your sentiment in the OP that the price is what they'll give you to get it off your hands, but you don't want to short yourself either.
