Donald Trump 2020

Hillary beat Trump 48 / 46. Lot of fucking good that did.

While you're right, the Republican EC advantage doesn't hold up under a popular vote margin that large.

The polls missed by the national popular vote by about a percentage point last time around (~3 percent margin vs ~2 percent actual), and Trump cut it about as close as possible. I for one doubt the popular vote will be as lopsided as that particular poll indicates, absent some significant economic downturn or Trump starting a war. Though if it really does end up more than a couple percentage points, that necessitates a shift across the national political environment that would be felt across the board in large/significant states like FL, PA, MI, WI, NC, AZ, and even OH. There's almost no way Trump wins while losing the popular vote by that kind of margin.

I just don't think it will be that wide.

The corporate media has gone into overdrive pumping up that Trump can’t be beat in the fall because of Iowa, impeachment, corrupt republicans, Bernie, erratic dems, the economy, blah blah blah.

My guess is the ultimate goal is to somehow stop Bernie. Possibly help Bloomberg or gasp, help trump himself. That CNN and the rest of the corporate media is anti trump is such a myth. He makes them a whole bunch of money. Sure the liberal reporters are all dems, you think they control the message?

With Biden faltering, panic mode is setting in and they’re grasping at straws.

Its really fucking annoying. But best to just step back and look at the big picture as to what they are trying to do.

Don’t hold your breath.

The NY Mag read on the DB/Trump relationship is good, but extremely light on the Russian oligarch part.  I was hoping the name Broeksmit would surface in there.  Importantly, what the article does do is lay out the names and roles of high level DB officials who played a hands on part in the corp's risky tango with Trump over more than a decade, including the teaser about SCOTUS Kennedy's son, Justin Kennedy.  The article maps out the past prolonged outlaw culture at DB and how compartmentalized it was with branches nearly combating each other for business as if they were from distinct corporations.  It lays out a virtual roadmap for Congressional testimony should SCOTUS rule that DB has to turn over its Trump financials - "The Trump Rosetta Stone" - to Congress.  That would be the cue to enter the story of first hand accounts of Russian oligarch cash pouring into shadowy corners of DB as it simultaneously flowed out to Trump.

The blurb from the other link last page to the Atlantic article -

Europe's Whistle-Blowers Take On Global Corruption. "If anyone at Deutsche Bank—or at any of Europe’s other financial institutions, acc. firms, or tax offices—has evidence of wrongdoing by D. Trump, now would be a good time to share it."

- raises the specter that SCOTUS is not the only gatekeeper here.  I have to imagine a lot of overseas sources are keeping their powder dry until the right time to unload the goods on Trump with a clear intent to take him out of re-election.  If Congress can get the ball rolling on this next June, it could accelerate.

Not to mention the near complete omission of anything Warren 3rd in Iowa or Klobs.  There's a method in full effect.  Not sure how far out their actual endpoint is or pegging a winner next Nov so much as it is about gaming today's set of info and variables for a daily ratings double over the next week.  It certainly has the feel of fanning a gambler's addiction.

I still believe the more pressure he is under, the more likely it is that he just finally says - "ah F**k it, I never wanted this job to begin with."

The lack of a conviction was not the end of that story. He can't focus in on his opponent while simultaneously having to put a shield up to avoid investigations.

And as the allegations continue to build up, he will start losing supporters when they continue to see what a cluster he created and . . . they discover he lied to them about his promises to them. They may not vote D, but they may just decide to stay home or leave the top line blank. He just isn't worth it to some of his 2016 supporters. He hasn't delivered. He refilled the swamp with even more despicable creatures.

Keep up the pressure. A two-pronged attack is much more effective against Trump and his machine.

Thankfully, none of those things will become law. It will make for some great Democratic ads, though.

Whoever came up with it was a fucking idiot.  I doubt Trump has that kind of grasp, so it was the staff.

Stupid though, because it does give the Dems some great campaign ads, and if Trump pushes back when they tell him and Mitch to fuck off on the cuts, that will make for even better campaign ads.

You know, on this particular story, I'm actually more interested in transnational criminal organizations and their mass money laundering through the global banking system getting some serious sunlight.  Not all billionaires are bad.  However a good many, especially those doing business with the likes of Putin and a few notable others, are worse than dick cancer.  They need to get walled off from the civilized world.  Trump just happens to be a disposable scumbag helping to spread our cheeks for them.

Agree 100%. Once corner of that is the Panama Papers - which never got the attention it deserved. The amount of high finance corruption revealed was staggering. Would love to get your take on that some time and whether it connects up with the Putin line of dirty money (of if it was a competitor of Putin's finance gangsters).

No Donald, you are allowed to call your own daughter "beautiful"...what is incredibly creepy though is that Jared's facial expression after you called her up there is exactly what pops up in a search field on Pornhub.com when you type in "cuckold."  But usually it's just some guy watching a BBC drill his wife, in this case...he has that look like, 'Yeah, it's her Dad...but I got this sweet gig solving Middle East Peace.'

Also, did Trump host this at Southern New Hampshire University thinking they might be in the running for his Presidential Library?  I mean, he knows it's not a real school right.  It's just a server room and lecture hall that isn't actually a college? Then again, maybe it's perfect for him.

This whole rally tonight was a fuck you to Bernie and a fuck you to nearby Bill Weld.  A $3mm fuck you to Weld.  That's all this was.

As for Trump's idiotic referral to remittances as "redemptions", I would merely like to bring to his attention the great Immigration Ballad brought forth to the Americas by the great Roberto Martinez Marley, "El Cancion de Expiacion" or "Redemption Song."

Old Trumpkins, yes they rob I

Sold I to the Bill Barr ships

Minutes after they took I

from the bottomless pits

But my hand was made strong

By the hand of the Pelosi

We forward in this generation

Trump-phantly

Man, just when I think things can't get any lower, I catch up on this thread.  That's our president folks--tweeting "alternate truths" and sheer idiocy. Yeah, impeach Obama you moron.  The POTUS doesn't give his position much respect with these tweets of wisdom.  They're getting compiled somewhere--every myopic one of them.  Amazing times--the sellout government.

What's even more enraging is that Mnuchin (I think that's who it was) will not release the documents about the $$ tab for how much this costs until after the November election. Reporters have been attempting to piece it together, but you have a Department with zero accountability.

Today the President has an intelligence briefing. WHERE'S THE PHYSICAL? I would like for his medical doctors to be on the record just like the Senators.

Blowing up Native American burial sites to build the wall.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51449739

Native American burial sites have been blown up by construction crews building the US-Mexico border wall, says a lawmaker and tribal leaders.

Authorities confirmed that "controlled blasting" has begun at Arizona's Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a Unesco recognised natural reserve.

Raul Grijalva, a Democratic congressman, called the destruction "sacrilegious".

The government failed to consult the Tohono O'odham Nation, he said.

Environmental groups also warn of the damage being done to the local underground aquifer, as well as to migrating wildlife in the remote desert region about 115 miles (185km) west of Tucson.

The law and order candidate!

Interesting logical dilemma here for the President who possess a logic all his own. Stone is pro legalization of cannabis and per Trump's remarks to the nation's governor's yesterday (see up thread), China's drug policy of a 'quick fair trial' complete with death penalty is one the US should emulate. So, Roger, consider your sentence to be rather brief compared to a terminal decision.

These fucking suckups...

I am not knowledgeable about the intricacies of the First Amendment, but their little uniforms bother me. And that is what this merch looks like. A uniform. Any senator serving in the military wearing a uniform is serving the USA with POTUS as Commander-in-Chief. No problem with that. An athlete in the Olympics wears a uniform too, and is representing the USA. But these clowns are wearing merch for POTUS and are supposed to be representing their state (not Don Jr, but the other two.) I don't want the Democrats to do this, either. It really drives the partisanship and team aspect that is not beneficial for our government. Am I off base here?

I guess if you're into that whole 'I have to have an identity with X group or I have no value' way of existing, then it makes sense (for a supporter) but for the Trump organization, you're a schmuck that just wasted your money.
