Look, the party fatcats have a right to pick their candidate. They have done so since the beginning of this country. I get that and understand that is the reason they exist. They are charged with running the BEST candidate but that candidate is IN THEIR OPINION  and doesn't necessarily reflect what is what we the people want or need.. For some reason, they don't think LIz can win. Maybe it's because they think she can't help the down ballot candidates or more likely because she has a pussy and they agree with Bernie and think a woman can't beat Trump due to Hillary. That is what I mean by my pointing out the collusion that I think I see.

I'm not seeing it. Can you help me out by naming these "fatcats" and pointing in the direction of evidence that supports your assertion? Is that also why Biden fell out of the lead and Kamala Harris fell out of the race?

Are you serious? Just look up who is in the leadership. I'm saying that these people are beholden to those who want to control the candidate nominated and have the connections within the media to make that happen.

Current leadership[edit]

In addition, a National Advisory Board exists for purposes of fundraising and advising the executive. The present chair is Elizabeth Frawley Bagley, former U.S. Ambassador to Portugal.

===========

These are the connected and involved people that think they know better than us as to whom to choose at best or maybe influenced by oligarchs at worst. If they want to enhance the chances of a candidate or control media access to another then I absolutely think they can because that is why they were made the leaders. I'm not conspiracy talking about who might be pulling any of their strings...just that these folks opinions matter more than ours as to who the candidate should be.

How are they restricting media access to Warren? I see her all the time. Who are they favoring over her? Bernie? He just won the New Hampshire primary. I'm pretty sure the voters made that happen, not the party leadership. They didn't rig it against him last time and they're not rigging it for him now. You can't say they're colluding for Biden. Bloomberg? Please. He's just got more money than everyone else and can run an ad blitz to dwarf all the rest.

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me. Maybe it's because she seems meek and people think she can't stand up to Trump. Maybe it's because her only campaign wardrobe is the black leotard and the brightly colored blouse. (Yes, I know it's not a leotard but it may as well be.) Policy wise I'd take her over Bernie but since she decided to adopt the Medicare For All platform, it makes her and Bernie seem more interchangeable.

The leadership has a stable of candidates and some perform better than others, right? Bernie has a ton of followers and is doing great in fund raising and generating interest among the young. But notice how hesitant they are about touting him and putting more backing of him to win? They are doing that because he can be labeled the worst thing imaginable....socialist.  He is an admitted socialist and that doesn't sell in our country. Haha, I know right? But as much of that as exists here and we even enjoy, we just are programed to hate the word. So they aren't backing him fully and they aren't backing Liz (imo because she is a woman) and are leaving her to her own devices to get to the media and get positive exposure.  I didn't mean to high jack the Trump thread but I do lament that Liz' road to nomination is mostly non-existent.

I'm fixin to neg myself so I won't respond here about the dem nominees and their chances here.

On a positive note, if it's this fucked up under Trump, just imagine how bad it would be had Corrupt Hilary won.  I mean, she has the word "corrupt" right in her name.

Something to think about.

You're not wrong though. Trump would still be relevant, using his newly formed media company to inject his vitriol into our politics. However as a private citizen so not subject to the scrutiny of working within a machine that SHOULD be transparent. This is oddly the best case scenario for us. Yay.

Yeah, but twitter banning him would have been glorious.

Twitter:  The absolute best thing, and worst thing, to have ever happened to Trump.

Forget sparing the rest of the world; Twitter banning him would be the best thing for him.  I'm glad they haven't, for him operating as President without any filter (personal or otherwise) in place shows just how fucked up he really is, how easily he is triggered and insecure he is almost daily.

Just imagine what Howard Hughes would have been like on Twitter in his last few years.

Yup. The “this ad was paid for donnys dead dad who’s looking up at him from hell with tears in his eyes” or something along those lines disclaimer with the double birds is simply, beautiful.

That last part was awesome.
