The flags are so cheap that they fray and rip off their eyelets almost immediately.  I drive by someone who has 2 flags on the way to work every day and I think he is on his 3rd set.  He just got new ones a couple weeks ago and they are already falling apart.

do you even flag grift, bro?

Would this be the same federal government that let 1000’s more people die than what should have happened had they stepped in earlier on Covid?

well transporting a virus in your lungs across state (and country) lines is not a federal crime.  try to keep up.

Yeah, based on the covid response I wouldn't be surprised if the national guard ended up slaughtering police officers by mistake

Yesterday, I left my Austin bubble and drove to Johnson City. The number of fucking HUGE "Trump 2020", "Keep America Great", and "Vote Republican --Protect the Constitution"  signs and banners, with no D or Biden signs at all. I guess not surprising but really disheartening. Why are rurals assholes?

Welcome to my world.

seeing trump watch the launch just reminded me of what a fucking simpleton he is, and i really wish people would stop dissecting things he does like he's got some sort of strategy.

he's a child.

he wanted to go watch the launch because it's a spaceship.  he posted the looting/shooting quote because he thought it sounded cool and it rhymed.  i don't think his reptile brain is sophisticated enough to know it originally came from a racist police chief from the 60's.  i don't even consider him a run-of-the-mill racist, he just despises anyone who keeps him from getting what he wants - white, black, brown, yellow, or green.  he sees everyone as beneath him and i'm not convinced he'd treat poor black people worse than poor white people who were in his way.  that would take some strategic targeted thought and i don't think he has the capacity.

he talked about the secret service protecting the white house just like all young boys do when they're building a fort and they're 9 years old.  he calls out everybody and complains when people are mean to him.  he doesn't care about the protests, the riots, the virus, or racism.  he cares about trashing the media, twitter, and calling every democrat a "radical" because he thinks it'll help him win, and derogatory nicknames are how 9 year-olds deal with their insecurity.

he prioritizes things that are important to him, because when you are immature, there is no difference between things that are important to you and things that are just important.

that chess quote was right.  he's always just eating the pieces.

I agree with most of this but the looting quote was probably something he saw on twitter from a racist or fed to him by Stephen Miller.

right, but he liked it and used it because it rhymed.

have you ever seen his face light up when something sounds cool or rhymes?

Yeah, I mean, NOBODY saw this country absolutely destroying itself happening.
Except for a shitload of us on this forum and elsewhere who shouted the warnings as loudly as possible as soon as it was apparent Trump actually had traction in the GOP primary.
Something like this was inevitable. We were told over and over that we were being hyperbolic and irrational. We refuse to see the truth, even when it’s a goddamned train heading right at us.

I was absolutely one of the most vocal critics of Trump's ascendancy.  I was routinely mocked and advised that "what this country needs is a businessman in the Oval Office, not a politician".  My answer was always "yeah, well go nominate a businessman, because Donald Trump isn't."  "You fool, he's a billionaire!!!  He's gonna drain the swamp!!!"

Fucking idiots.  99% of them are still on board.

Feels like we are crawling to the finish line in the last 6 months of Don's presidency. Things continue to deteriorate across the board between the pandemic, race relation, amped up China rhetoric, and twitter debacle. There's not a single thing he's doing right. It's as though he's actively trying to not get re-elected.

Could you imagine if we had a fully functioning, critically thoughtful populace?  If we assume that he would have been elected, just on a lark, he would have been run out on a rail after a couple of months when people realized what an inept human being he is.  But nope, here we are.  We are a stupid, stupid nation.

Here’s LBJ signing the civil rights bill. Now 9/10 people from his home town, that his great uncle founded, would call him a socialist.

At these point it's more about "our team" versus "their team" and Trumpkins would rather go down in flames than admit they're wrong and switch sides.

Imagine this officer's dilemma for a moment.  If he offers to shake, he's rebuffed by Trump for fear of CV19, if he doesn't offer to shake, then he's branded a coward.   I'd have just turned my back and walked away from the asshole the minute he descended.

LOL, Trump's blue lives matter shit may take his 30% down to 29%.  What a fucktard.

If you think these protests are hurting Trump, we live in two different realities.  In fact, I'll make a prediction that his approval numbers will increase and the spread between him and Biden will decrease.

Right now, Biden is up 5.3 points in RCP average (47.7 - 42.4).

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_biden-6247.html

Trump's approval is -9.9 (44.1 approve vs 54.0 disapprove).

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

We'll check back on June 15 and see where the numbers are but my guess is that we'll see some movement in Trump's favor.

You misunderstood what I'm saying  -  there may be a short term bump or decline - his 30% always ends up the same 30%.  That group isn't moving is what I'm saying.  The 15% that seem to fluctuate may go either way.  I'm talking about that hardcore trumptard 30% which will be with him no matter wtf he does.  As in it may move a point at most.

it'll strengthen his base, no doubt. they love his 'tough talk'. look for him to promise a tough crack down soon on antifa. maga base hates antifa and wonders why they haven't all been executed.

The guy who thinks the coal industry is making a big comeback can suddenly learn how to read schematics for mid-orbit weapon systems.

You'll convince me he's not racist long before you'll convince me he's remotely capable of understanding extra-planetary defense.

Again, I am repulsed by the comparisons of Trump to Hitler...it's naive and it's a shortcut to critical thinking about who Trump truly is.  He's not as bad as Hitler, but for those of you real students of WWII history...not just people who saw "Saving Private Ryan" three times; you will do well to remember the Super Weapons that Hitler started touting towards the end of the Third Reich.  It was originally thought that he conceived of the lie himself in order to continue the perpetual facade that he would prevail on both fronts.  But eventually historians realized it was spoon-fed bullshit to Hitler, intended to keep him satiated and naively thinking his weapons researchers would win the day for him, so that he'd agree to allow conventional infantry, armor, and air support to retreat back to an area around Berlin to make a respectable last stand and save the slaughter of civilians and children.

I think Trump got all giddy about the Dragon launch today and somebody at Space Force fed him some bullshit to ensure more funding, and to let him cling to something childish while his empire crumbled around him.

IOW, we're nowhere close to landing on Mars and there are no super weapons.

Well, no, of course not.

But what if he told you that we would soon have super duper missiles? Is that something you’d be interested in?

Of course virtually every time Trump talks he tells a lie, but when he uses the term "you can't believe it" or any variant, it's the most obvious tell ever that he's lying. It's his subconscious coming out.

His oatmeal brain is so weak that he can't help but give himself away whenever he's trying to sell a bill of goods.

“You can’t believe it” plus this hand gesture would make a lie detector explode.
