The Football Brainiacs confirmed that WR Kennedy Lewis' suspension is because of his grades & he's currently take classes at a JUCO.

Waitaminnit! Doesn't UNC have some uhhh "classes" he could take? On the innernets? Wouldn't Mack be happy to help a brother out?

lmao... it's actually been kind of funny to see how Herman's ego and coaching have changed since he got here.  Knowing what we know about him, he's arrogant and thinks he's the smartest guy in the room.  The guy had great success as an OC and went on to Houston and had a great first season.  He then went on to have a pretty mediocre year but still beat ou and Louisville that propelled him as one of the hottest coaching prospects in the country for major programs.

The guy walked into Texas thinking his way would work and anyone else that thought otherwise was stupid.  He was extremely arrogant his first year.  He brought his entire mid major coaching staff to Texas thinking it work in the Big 12 against some very good and bright coaches.  The guy completely misevaluated his team in 2017.   Said it was the best O-line had seen.  He proceeded to get pantsed by Maryland at home.  Year one was humbling for him but he still reeked of arrogance.  Year two, less hype in the off-season.  He shit himself again against a mediocre Maryland team with no HC.  At that point, the pressure was fucking on.  We went on to have a pretty decent year where Sam carried the team on his back.  He beats UGA and the arrogance went to an all time high.

They did not change anything from year 2 to 3.  They brought all these analysts and changed nothing about the offense or defense.  He supported the shitty coaches we've all be clamoring to replace.  Year 3 was a huge punch to his ego.  At this point, he knows these next two years are his last opportunity to make it work at Texas.  CDC mentioned that Herman knows he gets one do-over.  This is it.  If he fails, he will get fired at Texas.

Herman is a narcissistic arrogant fuck, but he's not completely stupid.  He wants to be Meyer, Dabo, Saban so bad.  But right now, he's a guy that came into a big time program with a shit load of arrogance thinking his UH plan would work here.  Now he's embarrassingly going to see Chip Kelly with his tail between his legs trying to figure out how to make this work with a staff overhaul.  If he doesn't win the big 12 this year, he will still get one more year.  But we all know the 2021 team is going to be a rebuild with Sam gone.  If he gets fired, he will be back a a G5 school and it's going to be much tougher for him to land at a blue blood with this shit stained blemish on his resume at Texas.  It's fun watching him sweat at press conferences.  Maybe he'll actually take a look in the mirror and adjust and do what's needed for us to win.

I agree that he's not an idiot. I'm trying to place some (perhaps misguided faith) in that Herman is smart enough to realize he's about to fuck up his one shot at his dream job.

Given that he got a solid close up in the last hype video and, you know, Herman himself said he's not suspended anymore, I'd say that's a decent assumption.

Sorry, I only trust info from my $9.95 subscriptions.

I’m not saying it’s title or bust, but if we lose 3-5 games I am not so sure Herman returns

Unless he completely tanks, which we won't considering we have a Sam, I think he gets 2 full years with these new hires.  But if he can't win it this year with a senior QB and solid depth across the board, he definitely won't win it with Casey Thompson or Card.

Sounds like Josh Moore will be back in the fold at WR.

His charges were dismissed this morning. Technically got "deferred adjudication," meaning if he keeps a clean record for a year and does some community service it will be dismissed. Have to hope he can do that.

Of all the stories about Herman, two that bother me a lot were his proclamations that the OL and DL were really good and strengths of the team. They haven’t been. We all knew that. Why didn’t he? Or did he just lie about it on purpose and if so why?

Honestly the players have been getting fucked over by scheme.

Not much an OL can do when the other team knows what you're going to run, and Orlando stubbornly tried to force the LBs to be the stars of the defense when the best players were DLs and CBs.

What were the strengths, in your opinion?

Running the same set of plays out of the same fucking formations to the point of telepathy with opposing defenses who are laughing because of it.

Non scouting all the way around.

The inability to score enough points commensurate to win the conference.

Ironically, herman's self confidence.

Badass uniforms and the ability for some of our fans to think next season will have different results with the same fuckface leading the charge.

But I don't know shit and am in wait-and-see mode like many of you. Personally, I'm fully prepared for another wasted season and am clinging on to hope that TomHerman-TexasFootball will be no longer in 2021. But that's enough bitchassedness for one post so I'll end it here.

So you're mad at the guy for being arrogant (they mostly all are) and now you're mad at the guy for seeking guidance from a team that went through a complete coaching overhaul and have bounced back with an awesome 3 years.  What can Herman do (besides winning) to make you think he is doing the right thing?

Translation: these guys are soft as charmin and we hope they’ll transfer once we make them play defense all spring.

I'm going one of them actually turns out to be a pass rusher that's been disguised as a receiver.

Leitao was a decent DE in HS, but I doubt he’ll do anything for us on defense.

Epps on defense?  WTF.  I am not in the know.  Did he play any defense in HS?  He seems too tall, lanky and non-physical to play on defense.

He’s also too tall, lanky, and non-physical to play on offense.

Epps is 6' 6", 245 lbs according to his roster page. That's DE size, but certainly not LB size. So I guess the 'Epps to TE' experiment ran its course? WTF is going on?

It's kinda scary when you think back to him getting manhandled by small corners. Yeah, going against tackles should work out nicely...

Like Macklin said, I hope they're being processed because this move makes zero fucking sense.
