I don't live in Austin anymore but how did EYM not jump on the curbside bandwagon especially with their margs?

we were just discussing this tonight... their takeout game was strong already, they're immensely popular, i'd bet #1 for neighborhood texmex, and their overhead had to be relatively low (place is still a dump lol)...we ordered them on like day 2, but i think they closed at the end of the first week.

family owned, right? maybe they just didn't want the risk. 😒 i'm going to assume it's just temporary!

No lie. But as soon as Lent is over I have a bottle of Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix, plenty of Deep Eddy vodka, olives, and bacon ready.

Man Id just enjoy it all now. At your age either you're in or you're out. I doubt He dings you for enjoying yourself during a 100 year plague.

My eye quack (retina specialist) office says they will be seeing patients for my next needle-in-the-eyeball session, Apr 17... is that likely to remain true?

would not count on anything approaching normality through june.

With these shelter in place orders, can you move between properties you own in different states? I really need to check on another house and we’ve got enough supplies to take with us and stay off the grid there for two weeks. Plus, we’re more secluded there than here.

no you are not allowed to move.  you are supposed to stay inside.  do not leave the house at all.  get everything delivered.  you are risking others lives.

MN is a shelter in place state and here you’re allowed to check in on people, pets, whatever. They don’t care or aren’t pulling people over for simply being in their vehicle .

That said who the hell wants to pack up and move for just 2 weeks? I guess if you’re not engaging with anybody, no harm no foul. It’s just moving is almost as bad as contracting covid19

It seems shelter in place really just means certain businesses are closed.

“Shelter in place” is a suggestion to limit your time out in public. The only thing that will draw police attention is a large gathering. No one will give a shit if you’re just driving around somewhere.

That said, your plan sounds kind of like a waste of time.

Depends where he is driving. If it ain't in the northeast, he's fine. If in the northeast, best to stay in the state of your plates.

Also, moving to a more secluded place right now is dumb all around.  I'm in NYC where shit is crazy already and if I need hospitalization I'd still rather be here instead of a secluded small town with zero ICU facilities. People keep forgetting that they could already have it for a week, feel fine, decide to drive to bumfuck, and then get sick and die of pneumonia in an off the grid cabin. If you haven't already been there for a few weeks, no point in going now.

Just finished my first week of forced “vacation” and even with an Xbox I’m getting pretty fucking bored. Next week will never end. At this point I’m wondering if I’ll even have a job when I come back.

I haven’t left my apartment since last Friday. Tried to leave Wednesday night and my car battery was dead as fuck. No interior lights no nothin. Guess I’ll try and get that fixed tomorrow and venture out in public. Oh boy

The Philippines is up to 3094 cases and 144 deaths. 14 of the dead are doctors  and 4 other doctors are suspected to have died of it. It looks like there is still vast under reporting.

I am getting contacted by more women needing money for food and am handing out some to those I know.  My ex girlfriend who is staying with me during the lockdown is annoyed, but I am taking care of her family and friends first, so she is keeping her mouth shut about it. I sometimes wish i was living alone, but it would be risky to be doing a different woman everyday right now.

I have had bronchitis like pain with a dry cough for the past 9 days while being more tired than normal,  but with no fever. I have actually had the cough for 2 months following a case of a flu like illness, so I did not think much of the bronchial pain initially. I feel much better today and walked a couple miles doing errands. I was able to breath better through the N95 while walking briskly than I have in the past week. Now I am wondering if I had a mild case of a virus on top of whatever is making me cough. I don't dare consult a doctor as I don't want to be quarantined with a bunch of sick Filipinos and end up getting really sick.

The local Mayor who shut down a local hospital for accepting Wuhan virus patients from Manila and promising he would never allow it to reopen as long as he is Mayor,  was overruled by the National government and told to let it reopen. He complied. He also keeps running misters around spraying bleach water into the air. He is a real dumbass, like most Filipino politicians.

His commanders were aware of those circumstances and made a decision. He had a duty to follow orders. Or he could have resigned. Or docked the ship somewhere, disobeying orders. He had choices, and he chose insubordination. Which may have been worth it, I don't know, but you aren't making an argument that it was.

This is going to sound fucked up but this guys train of thought is why I rarely hire ex military, they lack critical thinking process that was drilled out of them in the military which causes their decision making to suffer

Had a disturbance call at a covid-19 positive residence for the first time tonight. Talk about your all-time pucker factors. I’ve never been more aware of my hands and body placement. God bless the doctors and nurses staring this thing in the face every day.

Do you know before you arrive at the premise and if so is it because they are asked on the 911 call or by another method such as hospitals or another agency keeps a list of covid-19 positive addresses?
