Cute - Sexual abuse, forcing meds on kids without their or their parents permission, government funding of said practices . . .

Is there something new?

I honestly don't know if you are referring to policies under the Obama admin, the Trump admin, or to be expected under the Biden admin.

Andrew Sullivan is an opinion writer - similar to Chris Hitchens when he was alive. Non-responsive.

The first statement is directed to those seeking political asylum. This nation has a beacon out there signaling openness to political refugees.  See Miami.

Should any authority sanction the use of force to administer of psychotropic medications to children?

Of course I read it.

I didnt cause the influx. I would suggest from the start maybe not waving everybody in. I’m from close to the border. Illegal immigrant traffic is up substantially.

Is it still snowing in north San Antonio or has spring finally arrived?

Do you even know how far away San Antonio is from the border? Can you see the illegals cross in your binoculars wandering the malls of north San Antonio?

Cut out the bullshit troll.

Don’t sleep on psychotropic over prescribing in federal facilities. I realize these this ask requires a timeframe that some people find inconvenient.

There were a few different exchanges on this topic. And in particular a few exchanges on the durability of attention span. Just hoping some posters can muster the endurance.

So I guess I should do a surly search in an attempt to decipher this mystery you have presented us?

The Russian troll thing is tired. I’m a Texan through and through with connections to the Texas Revolution. I have two degrees from UT system schools. My Texan roots are almost certainly deeper than yours.

I doubt that but if it’s true, it explains why we can’t even keep the lights on and we were five minutes away from living in mad max thunder dome.

Thanks for sharing. There’s really no arguing this now.

Hopefully the traveshamockery of politically motivated school closures will be done soon?

If experts are for it, and the public (voters) are for it, what is the political motivation exactly?

I work in San Antonio. I said I’m from close to the border. I have friends and family there. More houses out in the country broken into, more game cameras catching people going by. Oh, and the government having to expand facilities for illegals would suggest to me that the numbers are up, but I’m just a simple man.
Dipshit.
Ah yes personal anecdotes from a Conservative presented as evidence or proof of nation wide changes.

Why are they expanding capacity for illegal unaccompanied minors if not for increased volumes?
Maybe to give them space in the interim with Covid and because anyone with a brain can predict an increase of migration regardless of ghoulish policy at our border for the forseeble future as climate change and political forces keep lower lattitudes all fucked up.

We could invest in Latin Amseica, atone our sins and stabalize our henuaphere. Fuck China and others are clawing Africa out of the post colonial clusterfuck and the next few decades look promising.

Naw GOP will cage kids, and lower taxes on the wealthy and do nothing we else.

Color Key:
Red: aggressively molest that pustulant socialist over-spiced socialist snow monkey with a moldy socialist carrot. (Used socialist in honor of Mo.)
Blue: who cares what they think.
Urnge: Did Tommy even know there was a mask mandate?

I only care about Ainsworth and Merrell because one of those malignant scarecrows are likely to try and out Trump each other to be our next Governor.

It was never about kids in cages. It was about ripping young kids away from their parents. Only the trump administration did that, it was straight up evil, psychologically damaging to those kids, and you supported it.

Exactly.

The Democrats just actually succeeded, for once, in hyperbolic scary messaging - “kids in cages” = “family separation”.

It wasn’t just about “the cages”. Although there was some of that.

But Republicans don’t bother to look past any scary messages; either ones they’re for or against.

Because they’re stupid and easily led.

I’ve got friends from work and on group chats, running the spectrum of age, from late 20’s to early 40’s, driving out to Tyler amd Beaumont and even Midland, because CVS will vaccinate them there. They said they signed up and just said they had asthma and that was enough.
Anyone heard of this? Are we opening up the aperture this wide and this early or are they being stinkers and loop holing it?
White Republicans are by far the most suspicious of the vax and those areas are full of white Republicans. There's a glut of vax east of 45 and west of 35 because of it. Go use it.

Oh for sure. But if things always worked out in Alabama the way the Secret Powers wanted them to, Luther Strange would be Senator-for-Life, Sessions and Bentley would still be somebody, and Twinkle Cavanaugh would soon be governing via NextDoor and Yelp reviews.

What? We did?

Without unforeseen hiccups, Biden’s approval numbers on his handling of the COVID crisis should be 75% or better.

They won't top 55 percent or so. Cult 45 gonna Cult 45.

He’s already at 70% approval before even before his major reforms kick in.

Color me shocked. I didn't think his approval on COVID would budge much from overall approval, given 1.) How central the issue is right now (logically, approving of his COVID handling but not his overall job performance doesn't really follow - it's far and away the most important thing at the moment), and 2.) Partisanship.

Well yeah. What sporting events are you going to?  Didn’t think that was a thing yet. Unless you mean kids stuff I guess, but I am sans kids.

My brother is a HS coach and his basketball team made the regional tournament. I went to the area and regional quarter finals games and was one of the few wearing masks. Maybe 10-15 percent total and that's an indoors basketball gym. It was crazy

You know... it's likely in a year or two from now. When we have the final numbers, better understanding of the impact on various sectors of our lives. The analysis will likely tell us that the federal and local government should have locked down or added a mask mandate sooner in some areas or eased up sooner in others.

With that said, you don't likely really care about any of that.

It's the one-year anniversary!

Today is the one year anniversary of Trump saying the cruise ship deaths shouldn’t ‘count,’ because “they weren’t our fault.” Which is true.

Now let’s consider the half million who’ve died of Covid-19 within the past year.

The proper nomenclature is stooge - a barb that doesn't let one off the hook so easily, respectfully.

Due diligence. Any?

Yes, Houston CBS news last night did an story on Orange and Hardin County offering vaccines to whoever wanted to come get them.   They were practically begging people to come get shots.  No classifications anymore.  Exactly for the reasons elfenix is proposing.  Vidor is Orange County.  Enough said.
