Slickwraps is not good as security

or customer service is appears. Very glad I went with Dbrand skins for my old phone.

tldr;

  1. Slickwraps apparently has (or had) at least one really horrible security vulnerability. There may be even more. However, this single vulnerability allowed @Lynx0x00 to access almost every single detail about the company (revenue, taxes, all of customers' data, payment APIs, and their Zendesk support account). It gave them so much access, they claim that they could have deleted the entire company’s existence if they wanted to. That’s the level of access they gained.
  2. Because Slickwraps failed to respond to them, blocked them, and tried to allegedly cover the tracks of this breach without notifying anyone, @Lynx0x00 has posted the entire situation to that Medium post above.
  3. At this time, we don’t know who else has accessed this data or if Slickwraps has buttoned things up. According to email screenshots flooding Twitter, this appears to be really bad.

I had to google slickwraps.  That's too bad for them, and for their customers.  I'm right at that tipping point in life that we all get to eventually where I start to wish things could go back to the way they were.  The Internet and other modern connection technology have not had a net positive impact - as much as I enjoy and partake in them. No cell phone?  No need for a slickwrap.  No internet?  No hackers.  Seems simple.  ;)

Porn and Google maps. Those two things make up for any bad shit caused by the internet

did you get the email from the white hat guy?

No.  I never created an account and just checked out as a guest.  Apparently the database that was as wide open as south Austin's mom was only people that created an account.

But it took them 6 weeks to ship my order. So I'm in the fuck slickwraps camp, regardless. The dbrand stuff is magnitudes better.
