Yes herpa lerpa derpa...that’s gonna hurt their online ego. Good thing they can shut off comments for their tweets

Chill out COVIDenier. Since you’re tossing out lame nicknames to people you don’t like whose opinions don’t match yours.

You’ve been the biggest fucking whiny bitch on this board since COVID started so at least the global pandemic revealed your gigantic vagina and what a bitchy snowflake you are.

They’ll pick up when the SEC starts. We talk a big game in the off season during normal life, but nobody is excited to watch Clemson throttle WF. When your excitement for the day was the sun belt punking the big 12, then yea...I can see why people were doing fall or winter prep work last weekend. I cleaned my garage

It's kind of like watching a train going down the track....but, nobody likes a train wreck.

My dad never smoked, drank very, very little, was a D1 letterman athlete in SWC days (before “D1” was a thing), ran 5-10 miles a day, 5-6 days a week, for most of his adult life, worked hard on our little family farm and in community development for a very, very long time, ate EXTREMELY healthily all his life, and never had the beetus or anything remotely resembling lifestyle-induced bad health.
He’s now 87 and has Alzheimer’s. He’s at extreme risk if he catches C19.  I’d rather him stay alive for a while for a variety of reasons.  But I guess he’s expendable because he chose to live so healthy for so long?

Please explain your logic. Because it sounds a lot like eugenics.
Thanks.

With Alzheimer’s?  I hate to say this, but trust me, you don’t want him to be around for a long time with Alzheimer’s.  You think you do, but until you’ve been through it with someone as close as Dad, you don’t want to.

This post is rich considering you contradict yourself in 2 paragraphs.

Worshipping the people who fuck pornstars seems to be an SEC hobby and way of life as of the last few years.  I didn't think they'd make commemorative cups out the lack of religious forethought, but here we are as a football nation.

Amazing how all the theater evaporates when people finally get tired of playing along. Same thing is happening with the masks. More and more people are saying, "naaaahhh".

Well I find the mask thing depressing if true. It is for other people. And it had a very good track record of stopping this thing in East Asia. I don't see the evidence that supports masks being theatre. I guess from now on you want people operating on you without masks since you don't think they actually stop infections?

But I don't see the theatre claim. We have evidence we can do this thing and a plan moving forward. Not playing along = influenced by evidence?

UH’s director of football operations and logistical wizard had to google how to get to Waco.

From Houston.

Really?

Well shoot, I have no idea how to get to Waco from Houston.  Under normal circumstances, why would anyone ever WANT to?

Only reason I know how to get to Waco from Austin, is because I know how to get to Dallas from Austin.

The Pac 12 was already falling behind, but they have done irreparable harm to their programs.  Right or wrong, they are the conference that doesn't take football seriously.  Their recruiting is going to be dogshit for the next few years.  Top high school players want to go where football is taken seriously.

Except you could have left the Tweet out and written this 5 years ago and it would have been correct.

Honestly, how many people in PAC-12 states are going to care whether they have college football this year? They can’t even fill up a stadium for their conference championship games.

That's a stupid statement.  That shithole stadium doesn't get filled because no one wants to go to Santa Clara.  When it moves to Vegas or SoFi it will be different.  I know iit's fashionable to portray the Pac as one of the Group of 6, but there are a lot of factors in play that other places aren't dealing with.  But whatever.

As a conference the PAC12 still hits 50k in avg attendance per game.  TV ratings aren't B10/SEC level but they have some punch regardless.  Those that care are surely the minority.   Economic factors will kick in immediately for a low % of the population, the masses wont feel much of anything this year and still wont care when it hits...  they already pay taxes out of the kazoo.

Sports across the board in the PAC 12 are an endangered species, to what degree depends on the admin/alumni aka deep pockets and endowment funds.  They'll get hit regardless, to your point the interest is much lower on the left coast.

Yeah I imagine Vegas will be hopping once they host there with fans.  What a fun trip.

If you have to move the game to Vegas to get people to show up, that kind of makes my point. SEC fans packed the crumbling edifice of Legion Field in Birmingham, AL when the SECCG used to be held there.  I’ve never been but Indianapolis doesn’t exactly strike me as a tourist mecca either, yet the Big 10 game sells out.

And they aren’t the Group of 6, there’s a lot of talent in the PAC-12. The people of the conference’s constituent states just don’t seem to care about college football the way the other Power 4 conferences do.

Plenty of PAC fans care passionately about their teams. The difference between PAC schools and others is that PAC fan bases by and large have way better options for entertainment when the team isn't good.

This.  So much of the south and midwest are so devoid of things to do that people live and die by football.  If that means they care more, then have at it.  I've attended hundreds of live college football games in my lifetime, and spent a fortune doing it, and I enjoy it a great deal.  But when it comes to prioritizing football over safety, I can't say I blame the conference for playing it safe, because it is ONLY football.

Asians often have a supply of good fitted masks at home.  These home made masks you bought on social media let you see people breathing in from the gap over your cheeks.

Hook em to the first part. I've seen zero evidence of the last part. In fact, anecdotally I've seen mask usage increase over the past couple months as opposed to decrease.

I don't get that argument at all.  Santa Clara is still in the Bay Area, right?  Plenty of interesting stuff to do there.  And if you are a real college football fan and excited about supporting your team, why would a location like that be some sort of disincentive?  If they only fill the game up in L.A. or Vegas, are we really talking about big college football fans, or something else?

Really?

The most direct route from UH to BU is to go through College Station on 6.

They were probably looking for an alt route to avoid going near A&M.

In fairness, there isn’t a debate really. One person made a dumb mask post and most people are shitting all over it.

It’s just amazing that after all of the evidence available there are still mouthbreathers clinging to the idea that masks aren’t important. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised given the flat earthers, the QAnon morons, etc. You’d think these really dumb people would at some point realize that they look incredibly stupid to the rest of the world.

I hope Phil Knight has to open his checkbook to help Oregon recover from the PAC 12 decision not to play.  I also hope USC is stuck with Helton and Orlando due to buyout issues.  Those are the only two relevant PAC 12 programs and they will suffer.

Clay Helton is the happiest man in all of this. He gets another year on the payroll not getting fired.
