I’m not a data scientist. But seems like there’s a pretty big chasm between a model and a poll. Especially since polls are simply a measurement of a moment in time, while a model is ever evolving.

mmm, models and chasms and polls.

John Cornyn, always on top of what's important.

the republican party firmly believes deep down in their psyche that people are here to serve the economy and not the other way around.

Cornyn definitely should be removed but I don't have any faith in Texans looking beyond the R after his name on the ballot. Yes, there is a small chance he loses but there are so many silent republicans in Texas that believe Dems are going to take away their guns, raise income tax to 75% and force women to get abortions.

He’s old, he’s stale,  he takes tons of campaign money from private prisons and fights like hell to fill them up. He’s bad for the state, but...he’s safe this time around. Makes me sick!

Biden polling with a slight lead in Texas has to scare Cornyn’s team. That might represent that some gop voters might sit this one out especially given that no one wants to stand in line to vote, or they might vote Dem to throw out anything related to trump.

Hey little john -- we're eyeing the WHOLE.  FUCKING.  THING.  You and your party of simpering sycophantic simpletons is going to die.  I know this, because millions of us are making it our fucking mission to kill it.  You have chosen to align against the best interests of the state and its people.  So be it.  No quarter.  Raise the black flag.  You chose poorly.

Senator Cornyn has retweeted me several times this weekend. Ted Cruz did, too.  Beto O'Rourke is following me but I don't think he has retweeted me yet.

I'm curious, what sort of stuff were they retweeting? You got some secretary porn going on for Ted?

Etc....

csb.  I met the guy who was in charge of the VFD who led that fire fight.  He told me the paperwork on the incidents took months to complete.  Every one of those cars was a separate but related report.

I really don't understand a guy like Cornyn. He's 68 years old and looks older. He's got two grown children, I'm sure grandchildren soon if not already. More money than he could ever spend. He's already reached his political ceiling. He will never be Majority Leader or President. At that point, why not just retire and enjoy being rich and well connected?

I realize that likely applies to the majority of the Senate on #bothsides. Just really disappointing to me when politicians hang on just for the sake of it. Because that means its so lucrative and enriching that it's better than spending a very comfortable retirement doing whatever you want with whoever you want.

Ego.

Someone owns him and won't let him leave.

He has to tie up loose ends that could end up biting him in the ass if he retires.   The idea he might actually have to turn his office over to a D never occurred to him.   Always figured it would just go to the next white republican.

Any or all of those?

And how does that make you feel?

Just saw an anti-Royce West ad air this morning.  Aside from it being laughably facile and fear-mongering, for him to be running ads during the democratic primary suggests his camp must really be worried.

Found the ad here for anyone interested in seeing it.  I think it's the same ad he ran during the Democratic presidential debates last year.
