The 17-year old kid, who was illegally possessing a weapon, drove 25 miles to defend a Kwik Trip for some reason. He shot an unarmed person, killing him. The shooter ran away and was chased, because he was shooting a fucking AR-15 at people protesting the attempted murder of an unarmed Black man. This shithead posed an imminent danger to everyone around him. He shot the person who ran after him, the person who was defending himself and others from a rightwing nut who drove across state lines to hunt those protesting racial injustice.

This is not hard.

I have no faith in our "justice" system and I'd be a substantial amount of money that the rightwing shithead will go free, but if you have any sympathy for this sack of shit you really need to look in the mirror. He's a cold-blooded killer and a fucking bootlicker.

There is a case where it's not illegal, but we'll see. Again, do you have a different video where Kyle was being a threat? Just having a long rifle sling over his shoulder isn't it. The reason he came into Kenosha is because he wanted to protect his area. Usually when you see

spacer.png

And the owner calls for protection, why wouldn't you want to protect your area?

Where did the rightwing murderer live again? Was it Kenosha or does he live like 20 miles away?

I think you need to look into this harder.

While the 17 year old dipshit apparently did participate in some Trump things, he was mostly an extremely immature and deluded teenager with cop and rescue ranger fantasies, not some hard core alt right proud boy.

And at least two of the three victims are not clearly protestors.  One claiming to be a protest medic, was also armed and waving his gun around.  It really seems that the area where this went down was full of mostly malcontents, idiots, and ne'erdowells.

The political angles are not nearly as strong as you make them, at least from my reading of the situation.

And, although he was unlawfully in possession of a weapon, from a legal standpoint, that has little or nothing to do with whether he is entitled to claim self defense to justify what would otherwise be a homicide offense.

This is a fucked up and tragic byproduct of idiots at the protest.

I think there are plenty of cases to put the criminal justice system on the hotseat in regards to racial bias, cop bias, etc.  I don't think this is one of them.

You're making it seem like 20 miles is a far away place. One black man is killed and the whole country is up in arms, why can't he feel the same for something so close?

One Black man? Weird. Seems like it's been more than that but maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention.

And who was murdered by those protesting the police state killing unarmed men? Or was it just some property damage 20+ miles from the house of some 17-year old that got him so up in arms?

When I was 17, I can say for sure that I did not give one single shit about the glass window of a corporation 20+ miles from my house, but I did care when unarmed people were murdered. Maybe we're different people though.

32 people have died during the George Floyd riots. You wouldn't have given a shit if the nieghboring town was burning? That seems like a you thing.

Weird how Kenosha is *literally* a neighboring town of mine and no, it wasn't "burning". I give way more of a shit about a human life than I do about a glass window at a Wells Fargo.

Yeah fiery but peaceful. I live in Portland, but I know it's being fucked up. I'm glad you don't care about other people's lively hood, but I will say you shouldn't go out and fuck with people's property just because it's not a person, you could be killed over it.

It started with burning garbage being put out by Kyle, so fucking dangerous with his putting out arson.

Also, it actually started with him crossing state lines with an AR-15 and acting like he gave a shit about a business 20+ miles from his house.

It actually started with rioters burning shit.

He brought the fire extinguisher over, which you can see in the earlier video.

When it's a variable YOU consider in answering "Should this killing take place?"...

Yes.

TWENTY GODDAMN FUCKING MILES SEEMS LIKE AN INSANELY GENEROUS  SWEEPING SWATH OF A FUCKING SAFE ZONE CONSIDERING BREONNA TAYLOR'S OWN GODDAMN HOUSE WASN'T ENOUGH FOR HER. IF I WAS COMPETENT AT MS PAINT I WOULD DRAW YOU A PICTURE TO ILLUSTRATE SCALE BUT IM PRETTY SURE YOU'D COME UP WITH WHAT YOU'D THINK WAS A CLEVER RETORT.

Wtf. I thought @hayden_horn was going to curb the misinformation spread after several days in the “you can’t keep up, your problem” vain.   Pretty well established most of the shit spewed on this page didn’t happen. There’s a lengthy thread with all the answers you seek, go find it. Or don’t. But your repeated misinformation makes you sound ignorant af.

Where's the proof that the people murdered by the 17-year old did that?

I actually have no proof of why other than Rosenbaum was mad and ran after Kyle, but you have no proof of murder either.

Is it okay for you to drive to the other side of the country to defend your family? Is it okay to drive 4 hours to defend your friend? Is it okay to drive 20 miles to defend your community?

Maybe it was in DT threads. Mea culpa.  But yeah, basically if you keep repeating shit that has been disproven because you haven’t been following the events, you’d get your hand slapped.   There’s plenty on this last page that has since been disproven if you’ve followed it. @TwiceHorn obviously has been.

Is it ok for me, solely, to determine who is threatening my country, and determine it's you?

Yes.

No.

Choose one.

I'm going out to burn the place where Ted Wheeler lives? Or do you mean defending Kyle is dangerous?

If you attack me, and I'm armed. Shooting you. Sorry.

Every time you are presented with a moral and political dilemma to discuss and learn from in the context of this forum, you make the wrong choice. I am sorry to have seen you go down the path you have gone.

I do not understand how he says the things he says consistently. It's either he's a massive contrarian on purpose or he has no understanding of the world outside of his own bubble and does not wish to understand it to boot. Either of those things are wild to have to consider as options.

Let me not re-phrase that and ask the same unanswered question.

I'll go ahead and answer.

No.

See how easy that was?

See how some on this site are perplexed by this...???.... riddle.(?!?)

A yes or no question becomes a monumental pretzel of paranoid emotional excrement.

Fuck these people and their black hole of emotional shit.

To answer you your first question, depends, did I attack you or not? Rittenhouse was being attacked from the get go from all available evidence. I mean if just had a riffle on me and I wasn't a threat and you killed me, then you're fucked, but if I pointed at you, sure, kill me.

No? You wouldn't go protect your mother? That's pretty shitty.

The Kenosha Police Dept must be disbanded. Jfc.

"You say you were about to be attacked with a deadly bucket?  We've never heard of that shit happening before.  QUALIFIED IMMUNITY!!!"

Yeah, I'd say we have some work to do in this country.

Quote

Torres shot Siler on March 14, 2015. Officers had attempted to stop Siler on a felony probation-parole warrant. He fled, first in a vehicle, then on foot.

Torres chased Siler into a garage, shooting him after Siler picked up a bucket.

Robert Zapf, then district attorney of Kenosha County, found that the shooting was justified.

Quote

This spring, the federal district court issued a partial summary judgment on the case, granting Torres qualified immunity, which relieved him from liability for the 2015 shooting.

You don't get free reign to burn people's property.

Cops aren’t supposed to have free rein to murder people, but they do. That pisses some people off, who figure that if those whose actual duty is upholding the law aren’t required to follow it, why should anyone else be?

You want to stop the unrest? Fight to make sure that cops must obey the law just like the rest of us. Otherwise police are just another street gang with fancier equipment than most.

Id be glad to make it hurt more when a cop shoots a person. They should definitely not be immune to the legal restrictions that we citizens have to face. Once there is something on the ballot (which I'm thinking there will be here in Multnomah County pretty soon.) I'll vote for it.

I can totally understand being mad that another shooting of a black man happened. I'd say wait till at least all the details are out, but that didn't happen and protesters went to the street and hopefully legally protested. Which is thier right, but destroying people's places of business isn't how I'd show that the government's trust to its people have been broken.

Is @TwiceHorn being contrarion for basically agreeing with me? I asked for proof this is murder, and I gave reasons why I don't think it is.

Technically speaking, it's still murder, it is legally justified by self-defense, assuming that is proven successfully as has been speculated elsewhere.

I think by the way they're saying murder as in he was hoping that he'd kill people, instead of self defense.

I should add that I don't think my stance makes me morally deficient as they're saying.

I don’t expect the mostly peaceful protests will subside until they’ve morphed into battles against a real, well-armed opposition.

Yep. They're learning not to bring a skateboard to a gun fight.

Angry, irrational mobs will get angrier and more irrational. They are bringing skateboards and pistols and soon will bring rifles and homemade bombs.

They will erroneously think they can kill a couple of innocent people or "white supremacists" and win.

Then they will see what's it's like to be in a real war.
