Yeah-  this will be quickly resolved by changing a few menus and recipes.  
 

In 10 years we’ll be talking about the good old days when snails were cheap before the Hipsters made them the new fad food.

Also from the article, that i can't figure out how to embed, is a picture of sacks full of these bastards.  One farm estimated 2 snails/sqft.  One of the farms had so many they were having trouble disposing of the shells.

Same disease is found in crawfish. Just cook em
