This is strictly a survey, right?  Our "official" choice will come later?

That's appears to be so. It's 3 options that don't completely square with what the letter says. Then you get a "fill in the blank" if you choose the middle option.

I think this is the correct word.

I don't see any football happening this fall but that's me.

I actually think my life might be better without the constant frustration

50% is pretty aggressive.  Those seats aren't that wide!  Plus, all the common areas are going to be crowded.

Hard to believe that is the required capacity with current cases here in Austin. We have to stay 6 ft from anyone but anyone sitting 1 seat away in the stadium or those sitting in front of behind would only be 1-2 feet away. Not to mention 50% capacity while everyone is sitting still means shoulder to shoulder packed when arriving/leaving or getting concessions.

A very big concern now that I'm stuck at home with the entire family day and night.

Well maybe you should get out and protest about porn!

Guys. If we just push the season start to November when the elections are over and covid is gone all will be ok and we will the whole goddamn thing.

LOL we should have played the season this summer when it went away like a miracle!

I am not sure if I should go refund route or push to next year, in all honesty, who knows what we look like this time next year, 2021 could be in danger.

We likely have a vaccine long before then. 2021 will be fine.

There's already a vaccine (as long as you don't mind being chipped by Bill Gates), but the Dems, in cahoots with the Illuminati and the Rothschilds, are keeping it secret until after the election.

At the very least, I'm going to let them keep my foundation donation so I don't lose my priority seating.  But I'm going to think long and hard about whether to ask for a refund of my payment for season tickets.

Speaking of thinking long and hard, can someone tell me more about porn at home games?  This may factor into my decision.

An awfully tough decision, but we are opting out of attending any games this season and will ask for a partial refund.

Refund our season home tickets (4) and the four OU tix. The LHF can keep the annual donations. If things are relatively normal and reasonably safe, we will renew for the 2021 season.

40 years in the same seats. 😪

OU & Covid suck.

There wont be a season, but

its pretty easy to attend a game at 50% capacity without contracting coronavirus. You just have to sacrifice a little.

Dont drink heavily before the game. Drink a little water before (ex: half a 20oz bottle)

use bathroom and eat before game

pop on N95 or EnvoMask on way to stadium. Also wear padded shooting glasses

walk into stadium, dont touch anything

sit in seat or stand or whatever

watch game

dont touch anything on way out

use bathroom and get water somewhere after game if u need it

not that hard. Not super enjoyable, but easily doable

I went in and changed my "survey" to the "I won't be attending" option. I didn't want to let go of the season, but reality is I'm just not thinking it's going to be worth it to me. I'm 60 and while I'm more likely to get COVID at work, it seems silly to be exposed just to go to a game when I could watch it on TV. Especially for a game day that's likely to be a lesser experience.

Jeez Armybrat, I didn't take you for a rookie, we did 49 seasons in section 6 (formerly 6U) before moving last year.

What do you feel safer in? Movie theater with 50 people and 5 infectees or outdoor stadium with 50,000 1000 infectees?

I selected...option two...need to see what happens in the next few weeks but keep me in the reseating group. I would like to see Bijan live the first time he plays at DKR...and I’m fine if that is not until 2021. It keeps me in the ‘game’ and if they do cancel or go no fans...they’ll have to refund.

No one can predict the future, but ideally if the spring could be played with fans, then go ahead and move the season to spring. If it looks like shit will be the same in the spring as it is in the fall (ie, covid still wont be under control) then may as well keep the season in the fall and play it without fans.

50% fan capacity in the fall is a recipe for the season to get cut short unless they ban tailgating, ban alcohol sales, and make mask wearing mandatory while in DKR at all times unless you are sitting down in your assigned seat.

Even with Option 3 I don’t think it’s final. The plan is that someone would reach out to discuss options in mid August. I bet a lot is changed by then.

I may have missed it but, under this 50% scenario, how will student seating work?

We're not talking about the entire crowd being the 50% group of tired old season ticket holders like me? I've thought all along that the students need to be there, if we're really going to have people at these games. They make the atmosphere, when the scene in DKR is best, plus my youngest will be down there now and I'd rather him go than me. I guess I'll hang on for now, especially since he may need them.

Under the 50% they would just be accommodating season ticket holders. I have not heard anything about whether they classified student tickets in that category.

I was thinking about this too. Students are being sold their normal season tickets, so yes they will be at games, but I'm wondering how many students overall are opting to go fully online this fall. It will be a significant portion, which means a significant amount of students won't be living in/around campus.

After the debacle of students not even being able to get into games last year before the middle of the second quarter, many aren't even opting for tickets according to our son.

Yes, but think of the bathrooms.

I'll finally be able to pee without getting stage fright at the game!
