So when/if the Big 10 decides to play starting in October, are the polls going to vote them back in with 0-0 or 1-0 records vs the teams who've played 4 games? I can imagine something outrageous like
1 Clemson 4-0

2 Bama 4-0

3 LSU 4-0

4 tOSU 0-0

5 UT 4-0

That's definitely going to happen. And there will almost definitely be drama where the sitting #4 and maybe #3 team has to sit there and watch as some B1G and PAC team slowly creeps towards them in the rankings.

It's going to be a shit show, and all of the blowhards who get rich by yelling inanities at each other on ESPN are loving it.

I can just imagine it now. A chiron scrolls across the bottom of your TV.. "SHOULD BIG 10 TEAMS START THE SEASON WITH AN AUTOMATIC 3-0 RECORD BECAUSE THEY STARTED PLAYING LATER THAN THE OTHER TEAMS? SKIP AND WOODY DEBATE RIGHT AFTER THIS COMMERCIAL FOR TRUCK NUTS". Then Skip and Woody will spend 15 minutes yelling at each other and pretending that it's a legitimate question that deserves thought and consideration.

The chance that there are 5 teams in the SEC better than Texas this season (assuming we aren't completely fucked by injuries halfway through) is basically zero. I'd also take Notre Dame on a neutral field and give them 10 points without thinking twice.

But I guess I can wait until we mudhole Tech for the 2nd time in 4 games.

Who was previously ranked #2? I don't see any PV#2 on that list.
