Kamala Harris 2020

Rarely post in CR, but have a question and thought I'd see if other posters had an opinion (since this is the largest political forum in Texas). If something happens to Biden and Harris becomes POTUS under the 25th Amendment, she would be entitled to appoint a new VP subject to confirmation by a majority of both Houses of Congress. So if that happens, the Republicans of course would never vote to confirm a VP and it would remain vacant so that they could deny the Democrats the majority in the Senate. Is that correct, or is there another method to break ties in the Senate in that event?

Good question.   Also didn't realize that point about being the largest political forum.  Source?

Title of sub-forum itself.

Why not?  If aggy can make up national championships and mount them on their wall, this should be acceptable.   Honestly never paid attention to that.

Every Republican in office is though

Ultimately, 57 senators voted "guilty" and 43 senators voted "not guilty", resulting in Trump being acquitted of the charge on February 13, 2021.

That’s more than 15% of R Senators voting to convict. Damn right it should have been more, but it’s still fact.

  • 1 year later...

JUST IN: Vice President Kamala Harris just cast the tie-breaking vote confirming Lisa Cook, who will become the first Black woman to ever serve on the Federal Reserve board. Every Republican voted against her
