I think that's what I'm going with. My main problem with the AT tires (including KO2s) is that they were so compromised that I was never happy with them no matter what I was doing. They sucked in mud. They sucked in rain. Etc. So I may as get a little more aggressive tread pattern since I am already compromising on road performance and noise.

I meant to caveat, my comment was if you are doing any off-roading, snow mud or sand at all.  If you're just driving on the street then get some street tires.

19 gets the push bottom start, sun roof JBL upgrade and maybe Apple car play (check my math here) - for all of the TRD models. Was standard on the limited etc
19 also has the full roof rack as opposed to basic rails

2020 got CarPlay. I bought a 19 a couple of months before the 2020’s came out.

Trading in my 2012 Grand Cherokee for my third 4Runner next week. It'll probably be a '18 or '19.  Anything I should know going in?

Ended up going new because it was cheaper than the used ones I was finding. Pretty pumped to be back in one.

Sold my 2019 Tundra for about what I paid for it two years ago to Carvana.

I was willing to buy 2016 or newer 4wd 4Runner with 30-75k miles. The prices were all close to new. It took 4 weeks to find what I wanted.

Now to find an empty basket for the roof. . .

I just took my FJ to Rising Sun on South Lamar this morning to get the front brakes done and fix a power steering leak.

I'll have a trip report some time tomorrow.

There's also a place on 183 called Land Cruiser specialist https://www.lcspec.com/ that is supposed to be legit but they didn't answer their phone yesterday so I'm at rising sun instead of there.

Thanks man, that LC place is exactly what I was looking for, especially since I'm up north anyway...I had considered calling Rising Sun over on Anderson but the reviews weren't great and I assumed it was a chain but I've also heard some people swear by them.

How do you know it need a new timing belt?  I’m pretty sure modern Toyota engines all use chain.

I met the guy that owns Land Cruiser specialist this weekend, really nice guy and he definitely knows all about the vehicles.

I have had pretty good luck with Dave's Ultimate Automotive off Howard lane(since you are North). They did a rebuild for me when they first opened up years ago that was pretty reasonable. More recently have worked on my Daughters CX-7 Turbo that she has driven like a bat out of hell.  They seem pretty damn good about identifying what's wrong without completely bending you over.  I don't think I would call them cheap, but they seem honest.  Work comes with some kind of nationwide warranty as well if I am remembering correctly. They have a pretty good reporting where you can log on and see the estimates and work to be done online, which was cool during covid.

Any of you guys looking for a landcruiser this is the only one I've seen below $10k in Austin/Houston/Dallas/SA ever on CL since I started my alert a few months ago.

Looks like it's in real good shape. I'd buy it if I didn't just buy the FJ.

2018s going for 10k over sticker. Smdh

Expand your search area. They are going for low 40s around here for 2-3 year old models.

Is 1770 miles not far enough?

actually it looks like he put the search area super large then sorted by price. He’s showing the highest prices in the country

Really, really, really hoping I get a job offer next week. If I do, soon I hope to swap out my 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport for a new or newish 4runner TRD Off-road. I assume folks think the TRD-Pro isn’t worth the extra money? I wish cavalry blue was a standard color.

Anyone have experience with a late model 4runner TRD Off-road?

Not 4Rrunner, but I know the TRD-Pro for the Tacoma, it made way more sense to just buy the off-road and upgrade the suspension yourself aftermarket. Both from a performance standpoint and a cost standpoint. The only real reason for it was the exclusive colors, and that's a lot of extra cash just for a color.
