Between Crownover, Phillips, and Roberts (Jaiden's brother), they have a lot of guys they're looking at potentially greyshirting

though it looks like they'll miss on Evans, Shepherd, and McKinnley Jackson.

Crownover won't be a GS option because it's an OV, right?

Can’t remember if that just makes blue shirts unavailable or also greyshirts

Yeah, I think Jackson is LSU unless Bama can get him

Taking two RB makes the most sense for them, especially if one can be there in the spring to give them more practice bodies

This is actually lucid, reasonable speculation that most (semi-)sober Texas fans would agree with.

He starts with his worst point (the guys leaving on the OL were our weakest linemen, and they're being replaced by pretty highly-recruited dudes, not JAGs).

The new WRs should be strong too. The coaching stuff is the most reasonable piece.

True. But they can’t apply the same level of criticism to their own team and it’s talent advantage relative to their schedule, and come up with a similar record prediction.

We can't all play multiple FCS schools, all the directional Texas schools, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina.

This.  Their schedule next year is an absolute joke.  And just because they struggle with them every year doesn't make the Miss. schools any good either.  And aren't they hemorrhaging players and coaches right now?  JFC those idiots have zero self awareness.  Zero.

I don't mind their insults as much as shake my head at the sheer ignorance.

Blueshirts can’t visit or be recruited. Greyshirts can’t receive scholarship benefits and join team until second semester

Would Arky adding King give them a chance at beating aggy?  They've got some real good WR's.

with all of his choices, why would he pick A&M with a returning starter vs any other school where he could come in and be the presumptive starter?

It’s almost like the 2018 LSU game was a weird anomaly of ref cooking and magic

LSU has won 8 of the last 9 played (they didn't play from 95 to 11, and A&M won the last 5 before 95)

as a reminder, since joining the SEC, A&M is:

  • 1-8 vs LSU (won in 18)
  • 1-8 vs Bama (won in 11)

Is this attrition because of Jimbo (allegedly) being a complete asshole or is it fear of the almighty Spiller or rats/sinking ship etc?

It’s what happens when you recruit mercenaries for sale, they bale the second things don’t go their way. Having guys that bleed for their team like Rojo does can save your bacon later on.

The “same” osu team...minus their starting qb and all American wr.
“Half dozen 4th quarter calls to barely beat” - 5 point lead to start the 4th, extended to 13 with 11:44 to go, where it stayed until osu scored a garbage td with 1:40 left.  Their Q4 possessions went TO on downs, int, 3 and out but Jones muffs the punt and they recover which leads to their late td.  So without OUR mistakes they don’t get any points in the 4th.
their end of half td was set up by a fumbled punt as well so we gifted osu 14 of its 30 points when we should have caught punts and taken a knee. Punting to us was their best offensive weapon.
