Maybe, but only because he's on paper Donnie can afford to own, and probably replicate on wallpaper in his toilet at one of his properties because "wealthy"
Ha ha ha nice "class"

Your daughter is tacky as fuck too fuckhead
The world , mocks you
They laugh at you.
You too Ivanka. No amount of coaching or surgery will ever fill that void. You should repent.

Not so fast, they probably all have W2s over $75K, isn't that the cutoff?

It's based on AGI.   I bet these fucker's have fully mastered the Trump Writeoff Model for filing their taxes.   Hell, for some one of them, they'll figure out a way to deduct the value of the items they pilfered from the White House as "expenses."

I completely understand the 'no sympathy' attitude. However,  what happens after this? Are there parallels that can be drawn from the rise of other fascist types when the first attempt was thwarted? It's not for nothing that this party exploited 'victimhood' and 'grievance' status. Some might realize the consequences and change, but that's going to be a small percentage if this is their worldview--the shunning just confirms it to them, right?

What does the future bring?

Most successful fascists were thwarted on the first attempt. Hitler, Chavez, al Bakr (Saddam's predecessor).

Maybe it is just me but I am kind of enjoying not being enraged by his tweets, appearances at the WH talking shit, calling into Fox and Friends and speaking his lies and what not.  I actually am starting to feel more peaceful inside kind of in a Zen like state just because I am not hearing Trump spew his bullshit for the past few days.  Hope it stays this way.

It actually feels a bit like pre-dotard 2015.  While I'm still watching politics closely (we still have violent insurrectionists and Biden hasn't been sworn in yet), I at least have the dotard out of my mind for the most part.  It's nice.

Totally agree. It's been nice not having to drink from the firehose. But from an entertainment standpoint, much less fun.

Of that I'm aware but specifically the devotees that are being turned away--not the average citizens, but the Beltway denizens that are looking for a soft place to land. 75 years ago they were bringing Adolf bon bons in his cell and chit chatting. Same here or different?

I agree but I look forward to my entertainment being the UT football team under Sark dominating teams for the next few decades and not worrying too much about politics.

Hard to say. Most elected Republicans are still loyal to Trump. That being said, I think only a handful are true believers. The rest are just opportunists who want Trump's voters.  The real danger will probably be the pol that takes up Trump's mantle. Trump is an idiot. Someone like Hawley is smarter than Trump, has his own fascist dreams, and just needs to thread the needle for a little while and get Trump's blessing. The other thing about fascism is that the second guy is nearly always worse than the first.

Aggy lawyers are well versed in things like sheep-man divorce, copyrighting numbers between 11-13, and lawn restrictions.  Federal crimes?  Not so much.

Don't forget...   Being the attorney defending A&M from lawsuits of families who lost kids in a tragic log disaster.

That's what we were talking about several years ago certainly, so I guess I'm trying to figure out where these folks are going to hang out and bide their time while they make their plans. Think tanks would be most likely wouldn't you agree? Suddenly flooding the market with books? Russia laying their bills for awhile?

They also settled with the family who lost two family members, one of which was their four year old child, when a gas explosion rocked the grad student housing. The final amount was the maximum allowed by law: $500,000 but the family's medical bills were much higher. I remember reading about it and it was heartbreaking and the university was very much blame. They'd ignored the resident's complaints about smelling gas.

I think the gas company was named in the suit as well, but no clue if they settled too.

Of the Republican support he lost, I'd love to know what percentage are saying they no longer support him because his coup failed.

My dipshit parents bailed after the coup.  They aren’t going to vote D in the future, but they have decided that they are “done with politics”.

i'm a little zen on this too.  i watched hawley for the first time with his vote in the senate against confirmation.  the dude is dead in the water.  just zero appeal to this guy.  trump was sort of fun.  hawley is a weirdo creep.  there is no way your average maga fan would go to him.  even cruz is more appealing.  which led me to conclude that trump may really be a unique combination of appealing malignance that won't be recreated from the cast of characters we have right now.  the ultimate fear is "trump but smart."  i just don't know if that even exists.

Good lord we are so fucked. Just fucked.  After 400,000 Covid deaths, steering the economy into an iceberg, 47,000 whiny tweets and inciting an attack on the fucking capitol, 40 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing:

My favorite part of this one is imagining the MAGA art historians who have this one as part of their collection, when they put together the kid is reading socialism books and trump is teaching him how to provide for himself, thus saving America's youth from the evil of socialism, 2nd grade art history stuff. They are going to be so proud of themselves, giddy for their friends to come over so they can wax poetic about the deep meaning behind the masterpiece.
