Thank god. Give that person a medal of freedom

There are like 8 copies that get preserved in various locations. These are the equivalent of the giant check they give you to hold when you win the lottery.

The Left are hypocrites for calling out the rioters today. Yes...that is what they got out of today’s events.

Really? Tons of us have been calling out violent riots vs peaceful protest. But none of us stormed the fucking capitol.

Ah well. Nice mental gymnastics to justify anything I guess.

So you're as stupid as that twitter poster and think Bowser was responsible for the soldiers on the steps this summer? Those were unmarked Homeland officers. Also, Bowser doesn't have much control over the DC National Guard.

Supervision and control of D.C. National Guard was delegated by the president to the defense secretary pursuant to Executive Order 10030, 26 January 1949 with authority to designate National Military Establishment officials to administer affairs of the D.C. National Guard.

The Capitol Police are going to have to be purged.  They either did nothing or actively helped the protestors.

If the police let them in the officers need to be tried for treason. Won’t happen because our country sucks but they are traitors in the most literal sense possible.

Ok take a step back. I might be wrong here but doesn’t it seem that for the most part this was dispersed with very little actual violence? Maybe this was a better approach?

Remove him from office tonight.

while i agree with the sentiment, he's literally not leaving.  not before jan 20th at least.  they could impeach and vote to remove 100-0, you still have to call a fucking forklift driver to get him out of the white house.  sure, he could stop being "the president" but when was the last time he actually did something as "the president".

this ends with cutting his twitter account.  period.  paragraph.

Anyone that supports Trump after today is a blatant traitor.

That's how i feel.

I never wished I could take back my 2016 vote until today. Wrong or right, no politician in my adult lifetime has checked all the boxes for me.  Had to pick someone, right?  Furk...

Gotdam, all he has done is bring any and all of his enemies'  accusations of his treachery to fruition.  On a deeply serious note, it is scary AF how a reasonable person could support him any longer.  The extremists are gonna need to be handled a little more swiftly and directly than has been done in the past year or so.  That ain't limited to Trumpers and some folks on here won't like it, but I oppose that shit for the same reasons.  Don't be tearing up shit and don't be thinking you can waltz in somewhere and occupy other people's property, public or private.

Take em down.  Stop the bullshit.

Removing barriers and backing away so that idiots can run forward is not a better approach.  There are cops that did their jobs today and there are cops that need to be fired for failing to do so.

Yeah, has it occurred to Capitol Police how much sensitive information is in the offices of certain leadership/committee chair members?  With a floorplan and the distraction of rioters taking selfies and stealing furniture...an operator could move swiftly through a few offices and grab some choice intel.

this.  there needs to be an inquest and heads need to roll on how easily the capitol was breached.

Merrick Garland better be the busiest man in America in a few weeks once he is Attorney General so he can go after every last one of these politicians, Trump/and his family, the idiots storming the Capitol today and so on.  We can fill up the prisons with all of them and release the prisoners convicted of weed offenses to make room.  Win-Win.

Escorting the rioters down the steps is making me ragey. Fucking push them down the steps and arrest them

Yep. The one police-officer gently walking the rioter down the stairs was amazing. Bitch got up there, she needs to get back down there on her own.

Allowing rioters into the capitol while senators are literally hiding under their desks?

I'm sure you're going to catch shit for it, but I'm on record giving you props for being willing to admit that you regret a past decision you made politically. Pretty rare these days.
