Well that SUCKS.......

Hoffman blowing a 4hole lead on the back 9 was the killer.... DAMN

Laisne didn't put up much of a fight in her match either...... Expected better than she played

GOOD NEWS:  None of the 5 Texas players that played today were seniors so hopefully they all return and continue improving..... STAY AWAY TRANSFER PORTAL!!! 🤘

Awful loss by Kous & Hoffman, remarkable. Laisne was not competitive.

Papp was solid as usual. If Cooper stays healthy, she will be a star.

Does not seem we signed anyone for next year, lets hope Kous, Hoffman and Laisne develop their mental game.

I think Kous 3 putted from 12 feet on the 18th.  Just crashed.  The delay probably didn't help.

That 1st putt was downhill and several players putted it 4-5ft past... Hope the freshman Kouz can put it in the past.

Hoffman with a 4hole lead on the back nine and losing it was the bigger disappointment.  She's a junior and should have found a way to win.  Kouz's (freshman) match was much closer all day.

Kouz walked to the 14th tee with a 3 hole lead, lost 4 of last 5 holes.

Wasn't aware of that due to poor posting of scores during the matches on Golf Channel.  The largest lead that I saw posted during the telecast was Kouz 2up thru 14.

CRAZY STAT:  Since Hoffman was 4up thru 11, she must have lost 5 of the 6 holes from #12 thru #17.   She did manage to extend the match by winning the 18th hole with a birdie.

I think it may have been mentioned up-thread, but I can't seem to find it...everyone on the team comes back next year - correct?

Yes, our core 5 could all theoretically return:

Cooper - FR
Hoffman - JR
Kouskova - FR
Laisne - SO
Papp - SO

This is incorrect - we signed Sophie Guo

Quote

Guo, originally from China, will join the Longhorns from First Academy in Orlando, Fla., for the 2019-20 season.

Guo has won four American Junior Golf Association tournaments in her young career and earned medalist honors at the 2018 Florida Women's Amateur Championship with rounds of 66 and 67 on the par-72 course. She has played in the USGA Junior Championship three times, advancing to the round of 32 this past summer.

Guo was part of the 2017 FHSAA Class A Girls Golf Team Championship at First Academy. She placed second in the individual standings at the 2017 championship with scores of 72-67 after winning the district and regional championships.

Guo, who currently ranks No. 26 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, earned a spot on the East Team at the 2018 Wyndham Cup at Old Sandwich Golf Club in Plymouth, Mass. She garnered 2017 Rolex Junior All-American Honorable Mention honors and was named to the USA Today All-USA Girls Golf Second Team.
