Where to eat in Katy

Seconded on Willy Burger. We drive out from Memorial for those burgers. The onion rings are breaded and cooked to order.

The Asian themed mall has a couple of good places and a 99 Ranch grocery.

I saw an article that Midway BBQ burned down. Never been there or heard anything good about it.

I thought Brett's BBQ was pretty good but nothing amazing.

Alegria (Brazilian restaurant) was pretty good, but not as good as Emporio Cafe.

I really like the chipotle enchiladas at El Rancho Mexican Restaurant.

Pappa Genos has fantastic cheesesteaks.

Orleans Seafood is pretty good.  Went there with some coonasses and they seemed satisfied.

Pearl and Vine is ok- nothing spectacular. DaVinci’s for Italian is excellent. Very small, reservations required on the weekends. LaCenterra has Perry’s and Rouxpour. Local Table and Dish Society are nice casual places. Pho Saigon has great pho and other really good dishes.

Phat Eatery is great. Its not a fancy restaurant - it features Malaysian street food with typical Indonesian thrown in. Rotis and rendang, etc.

Cool vibe and great food. Recommended.

Took my dad there for Father's Day. It was great. Tired the roti, rendang, mango chicken, prawns, and one of the noodle dishes. All of it was great,

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. I didn’t know Alex well but he was a friend of a friend and I had shared a great lunch with him at another Katy joint and enjoyed a celebration party at Phat Eatery with him.

He was a generous and genuine guy. Very bad news indeed.
