no kickout to an open teammate...

He was open. He is this team's best 3P shooter. It is empirically and statistically a good shot. There is nothing to "disagree" about.

Not like it matters. Tech is beating our ass and Shaka is still grossly incompetent.

our coaching is bad.  there's no way to sugar coat it

We love bad coaches in the 40 acres. Keep hiring the next flash in the plan in all sports that matter and watch them fade out as soon as they get here. Our administration just doesn't know how to run a proper coaching  search.

sims should never try and put the ball on the court.  feels like he turns it over every single time he does that.

In the first half I thought to myself he's the only big we have that actually has an idea of how to play with his back to the basket. He's just slow at doing it, and Tech is now swarming him when he gets it in the post. Brown and Kai are worse on the block. No idea of how to play with their back to the basket, their only move is to try to face up asap and attempt to blow by the defender. Big men with multiple skills are at a premium in 2021 basketball. We got a bunch with limited skills.

Shaka wasn't hired by anyone in our current admin.  We had a different president and AD then.

He got a premature extension from the current administration, which is why we are stuck with him now. The current administration has yet to prove they are any better at picking coaches.

It's amazing that the kid has elite athleticism for a basketball player, but he has not learned any skills in 4 years under Shaka. Sims has NBA athleticism but not a single skill that translates to the NBA.

I'd still take a 2nd round flier that I could teach him 1 or 2 offensive post moves, or to teach him how to be a roll guy and average 10 points and 10+ rebounds just on dunks and put backs.
