he'll be popular in prison

What?  Dude.   He's not going to face a single consequence.

How much you want to bet his private messages, texts, etc., make reference to "tonks" and such?  Chances of him not being an asshole racist hover around 0%.

No dick face running over pedestrians with a truck is not acceptable anyfuckingwhere. If it was I would have started clipping cyclists on farm to market roads in the hill country years ago.

The right does this great trick now where they claim Obama was just as cruel as Trump on immigration.
Which I interpret as they liked Obama’s policies but they didn’t like that Obama was non-white.

What I like is that they take a plea from the president of “please don’t send your UNACCOMPANIED children here because it’s dangerous for them to travel alone” as an equivalent of “you better not come here with your kids, or else we’ll tear em away from you.”
One is a plea with the well-being of the kids at the forefront.
The other uses kids as hostages to threaten adults.
That’s how the trumpkin brain works. Marvel at it, folks - it’s better at gymnastics than Simone Biles.

They shouldn’t deny the kids school, but they do need to have an accurate assessment of the total number of non-citizens in public schools. Then send the bill for each student to the home country and deduct the fee from any foreign aid.

This IS foreign aid and probably a hell of a lot better use of funds as these children may one day go back home and fix the broken countries.

We send over $10 million a day to Israel, which they use to fund universal healthcare and govt funded and subsidized education.
So, that’s cool.

A population that mainly just wants to come to the US, contribute, and raise their families. Nah. Messes up the cultural purity. Let's demonize and punish them.

Well, see, messicans are Schrodinger’s immigrants: simultaneously sitting on their asses collecting welfare while also stealing our jobs and enabling entire industries to operate.

During a prayer service for Reckard at La Paz Faith Center n Central El Paso, Basco was engulfed in love and support. The packed church holds about 500 and there was about triple that number outside. Flowers for Reckard came from all over the world.

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration unveiled a regulation on Wednesday that would allow it to detain indefinitely migrant families who cross the border illegally, replacing a decades-old court agreement that imposed a limit on how long the government could hold migrant children in custody and specified the level of care they must receive.

Quote

Under the new rule, the administration would be free to send families who are caught crossing the border illegally to a family residential center to be held for as long as it takes for their immigration cases to be decided. Officials said families cases could be resolved within three months, though many could drag on much longer.

Trump administration officials — who briefed reporters on Tuesday night on the condition of anonymity to discuss the plans — said that many of the families would be detained until they were either released after being awarded asylum or they were deported to their home countries. Some families might be awarded parole to leave the facilities while the courts decide their fate.

The 20-day limit has been in place since 2015, a legal outgrowth of a 1997 court-ordered consent decree after a federal class-action lawsuit alleged physical and emotional harm done to immigrant children held for extended periods of time in the detention facilities.

Quote

The Trump administration’s regulation, which is several hundred pages long, eliminates a requirement that federal detention centers for immigrant families be licensed by states, most of which had no such licenses.

Instead, under the regulation, the three centers built to house hundreds of immigrant families — in Dilley and Karnes City, Tex., and Leesport, Pa. — would have to meet standards set only by ICE, which runs them.

If the attack on natural born citizenship has any success, that gives them the green light to go after any citizenship status they wish to target.

citizens with Hispanic last names born along the border but not born in hospitals are high on that list.
