It's like IT wants meltdowns, to then just pump sunshine.

Yeah, pull the patented Nahlin "While our low-information plebe subscribers were panicking, your cool and handsome mods that definitely don't have a drinking problem were keeping it all in perspective." post.

yep, they started getting mad at their own subscribers last June/July when the sky seemed to be falling recruiting wise.  How dare our readers come at us after we gave them nothing but great news!

IT doesn’t know shit and if the staff isn’t recruiting Ewers as hard as humanly possible they might as well be wearing maroon and trying to bang sheep. Ewers is everything that the 995ers make Preston Stone out to be

This is the kind of kid Orlando would offer halfway through his Sr. year while already committed to someone like OU or TCU for 8 months or so.  Glad to see Hutzler getting out in front of guys like Medlock, Harris, and Blackwell.

Quinn Ewers has been Fong'd to OU.

Doesn't sound like it's based on any new info  ::

Between the success the last three Oklahoma quarterbacks have had on the field and the time Lincoln Riley spends getting to know their top targets at the position on the recruiting trail, the Sooners appear to be in position to land arguably the top signal-caller in back to back recruiting classes.

Friday morning I logged 247Sports Crystal Ball forecasts in favor of the Big 12 power for five-star 2021 prospect Caleb Williams and exciting 2022 passer Quinn Ewers.

Williams was just on campus last week, a return trip that was "super impressive" according to the family. Oklahoma is battling Clemson, LSU and Maryland among others for the blue-chipper's signature, but I believe it's the Sooners pacing the field at this point. Williams has enjoyed his time with Riley watching film and getting to know him, and has pointed to the success Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts have had the last three seasons.

A lot of that holds true for Ewers too. In addition to that, the proximity helps Oklahoma. The similarities between his high school program at Southlake (Texas) Carroll and that of Riley and the Sooners adds to the comfort level. Besides OU, Ewers is also looking at the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and Texas too.

Williams is the No. 6 overall prospect in the Top247 Player Rankings. Look for a similar lofty ranking for Ewers in the near future.

We'll see if things change as both major talents continue through the process but as it stands now, I don't think it's far fetched to think both could be in the fold for Oklahoma prior to the upcoming season.

I was told this past week that Ewers might wind up being the top rated player in the 2022 class and he’s a better prospect right now than any QB in the 2021 class. Texas has remained on the player so that isn’t an issue.

Now this is what I like to read..  Please CTJ, go all IT on the sunshine pumping if you can, we need it during this quarantine.

Has Riley truly developed a QB, they seems to be all transfers. Spencer Rater will be his first if memory serves me right.
Spencer will be trouble in coming years. I think trevor knight was his only qb he created. Baker was a transfer, but he made him great. Same with midget. Who cares if they signed with ou after HS. They did what they did under him.

We're going to fool around and not get Ewers aren't we?

Sounds like it's less "fooling around" and more just not having an OU-level case for an all-world QB except "well hey you grew up a fan, and Ehlinger's been pretty good, so... come on down?"

Wiltfong had an article on him with quotes so he must have gotten some info or something to put in the crystal ball pick.  If it was just fam not Drumm no buggy.  Wiltfong also said tOSU is a player and that the family has property near Columbus they visit a few times a year.  Starting out 5-0 would be a big boost.

The quotes that Fong had in that update were from Caleb Williams not Ewers. The Ewers addition to the blurb was just guesswork/feel and had no quotes or new info.

That's a long fucking piece with absolutely zero recruiting news/info other than conjecture by Fong about his timeline being sooner (despite Ewers actual quote). I'm not saying he is NOT going to OU, I'm saying all the current bullshit around Ewers comes from 2 places -- IT not knowing that Texas was also recruiting a CA QB, which was neither new nor novel and Fong who simply leaning on the thickest branch of a tree by saying top ranked QBs want to go to OU. It's 9.95er nonsense right now.

The Ewers family are big Longhorn fans FYI, as long as they recruit him like the player he is and don’t shit the bed this coming season it should be a pretty easy recruitment.

Herman is the one that can screw up the Ewers recruitment.

He needs to keep dad happy.
