Credit card frauding bitches

Recommended Posts

Alright, some fucking assholes keep getting a hold of my credit card info.  I’ve had to replace 5 cards in the last year due to them getting my information.  It’s not a big deal as the bank always removes the charges but I’m sick of having to change all of my auto pays.  A few days ago they ordered like 2k worth of racing equipment.  One of the companies called me to verify my address as they were suspicious as well.  I told them they were fraud charges so they gave me the shipping address and IP address from the online order.  I don’t know how IP addresses work (if it’s mine or theirs) but help me find out information so I can fuck with this person or report them.

IP address:   66.169.217.189

shipping address:

214 sleep top road

glenn heights, TX 75154

The stuff blacked out is my info.  They had my email, phone number, and my home address.   Not sure how these fuckers have all of my info.  I’ve had to replace all of my credit cards in last 6 months or so.  I don’t know if it’s the same person but Atleast this business was nice enough to verify if the charges were legit.  I’ve probably had 15k worth of fraud charges placed on my business credit cards and personal in the last year.  It’s frustrating...

What kind of racing equipment did they order? Also, stop using a credit card to pay for online porn. Use a gift card.

They made 5-6 charges from different websites.  This specific one was for a closed box air intake system for a Chevy Silverado.

I also don’t have kids so it’s not anyone from my family.  And the shipping address is in fucking Glenn Heights, Texas.  Says the tenant is like a 60 year old lady.  Might be her kids shipping it to her address.

I used to have to change my credit card number every six months or so due to fraud. Now it’s been about two years without an incident. The change I made is I got myself a Capital One credit card, which has virtual numbers. For any online purchase I use a virtual number. A few days after the transaction goes through I delete the virtual number.

Phone numbers and other info here:

https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/details?name=Fredrick Sawtelle&rid=0x2

and this:

https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/details?name=Brandon Sawtelle&personid=prur6u2nuu98662l868u&rid=0x0

but keep in mind that the address could just be a convenient place that they have access to. Friend, neighbor, etc.

IP address doesn't help much (can't be used to trace to an actual address), but does return Dallas, TX Charter Communications.

Yup, still am.  My phone number is in there.  It’s blacked out in one of the other areas.

I’m going to try to get the number to that address and pretend to be the business they bought it from and try to get the name and information of the person that’s trying to buy all this racing shit.  At this point, I just want to sign them up for cat facts and spam to fuck with them and to cause them some level of annoyance.

I've had my shit stolen 3 times in the last 3 years.

I wish I had a good lead on someone like that.

You should make a glitter bomb with a little video camera so that when they pick it up you can track them.

Then get them on film opening it.  Then you'll see who it is.

Yeah, if it's happening multiple times a year, I'd look at places you frequent. The most likely suspects are outdoor CC swipes, so gas stations and ATMs. Another possibility is they have access to a key password like Google or Apple where you have your CC info. You can check your login history on both to eliminate those possibilities.

I’m starting to think it’s a gas station near by my work that I use.

This is what I do with my Citi card.  It’s also convenient when I’m to lazy to get my wallet I can just log in and get a cc number.
the last time my card was skimmed it was from a shitty gas station in Sanderson.  You could always get a gas station specific card which often gets a couple cents off per gallon.

The station nearest me had a really bad problem with their cards getting hacked. I didn’t use them anyway because the cause was shit, but there were plenty of people that got fucked over.

Some dip weed got a hold of my SS# and has applied for pay day loans in my name three times over the last two months.   Today  I found out he/she applied  on line for this one, but it routes the applications to a local branch to where the address is listed on the application which was mine.  So I called it up and spoke to the gal who runs the place and she told me perp using my ID apparently has me employed at Wal Mart and a Mississippi cell phone number..   LMAO!    When they tried calling to verify the address, no one answered the phone listed.   Should I call it myself and say WTF?

Lifelock has saved the day none the less.   Any hit on my SS sends me an alert to where I can reject right away.   Plus I've locked my credit bureau files so I'm not too worried because I'm not applying for credit anytime soon for a big ticket item.

Freeze your credit with all three credit bureaus.

Bernard

I had to do this a couple months ago.  Got a call from my HR rep asking me if I filed unemployment.  Since I own the company she was pretty sure I didn't.  Some asshat got all my info somewhere (probably the Equifax breach a few years ago) and filed unemployment for me.  I got everything stopped and froze my credit.  Haven't heard anything else since, but I'm guessing it will pop up again.

I had to go to the Social Security office about 10 years ago.  While I was there, they took the opportunity to note about 10 fraudulent employment uses of my SSN.

If any of you guys need to verify this, PM me and I'll give you my SSN so you can check out my story.

Take the time to go inside to pay for gas. Just tell the clerk to put $20-60 on pump # (x). If you only pump $5, they will only charge you $5. Gas pumps, even at brightly lit, well looked after gas pumps get compromised all the time from douche bag fraudsters.

Lock your 3 credit files. It's easy and you can unlock them just as easy before you buy something big.

Use virtual cards for online purchases. Bank with someone that offers these and take advantage of it. It costs nothing and will save you headaches like mentioned above.

Avoid using your PIN. If you can avoid it, do so. Also, do not share your PIN with anyone, no matter how close of a friend or family member they are. I work in fraud  and have gone to countless trials wherein the victims are also family members or acquaintances of the perpetrator of the crime.

Other helpful tips: The IRS, SSA, Police, Court, any government agency WILL NEVER CALL YOU. At least for nothing that would require you to pay them or give them any information that would compromise your identity. Ever. The government sends letter, they do not call. They can track a letter, they can't track a call.

would freezing your credit prevent someone filing for unemployment?

I have one of mine frozen, but someone still filed unemployment for me in Virginia.  I got mailed a pre-paid credit card from State of Virginia and a bunch of letters, one of which stated I would get nothing and like it from them, so I am curious about what's on the credit card.  but not curious enough to have to punch in my SS# on the telephone number on the back of the card to check the balance (same with website).

Probably wouldn't stop unemployment, nor would it stop them from filing a bogus income tax return with your info.  I'm not sure what the unemployment scam is unless they have some way to intercept the cards.  I got mine shut down before the card went in the mail, but for you the card came to you.  What's the upside for the scammer?  I haven't figured that out yet.

Hi, Treefiddy. I'm Fred Sawtelle. I live at the address you have posted so very publicly on here. I haven't done anything to you. I haven't ripped off any credit cards from you or anyone else.

Why don't you email me and let's talk about what might be going on, that brought me and my address to this point. My email is my first initial and last name at gmail dot com.

We're going to need some proof that you really are who you say you are. You'll need to post a picture of your latest pay stub (with SSN) or tit pictures of your wife.
