Of course. They are part of a designed strategy we can depend on when we need them.

Todd Orlando’s strategy is to let OU get 500 yards of total offense, and to command late turnovers. Advantage Texas.

I’m not saying TO is great by any means. But he’s far from the problem at this point in the game.

They've scored 7 points and had zero momentum all game because our offense hadn't done shit.

Fuck off

Tom Herman’s next challenge as the head of a major program is to have the capacity to fire a coordinator who is a liability mid-season.
Preferably, halfway through the first quarter today.

Are we sure Tom even knows what a competent coordinator looks like?

Beck is still roaming the sidelines.

It’s not like we’re strip sacking him or dominating the LOS and making him throw up prayers that get picked off.   I’m glad defense was opportunistic, and they did have a few legitimate stops as the half progressed.   But that was a fumble after a long run and an ill advised throwback across the middle on 1st or 2nd and goal.  The two turnovers were closer to unforced errors than an offense being dominated.

QFT.

This bend not break defense does make it a little tougher on the offense because it reduces the number of offensive possessions and it gives OU’s defense time to rest. With that said, though, the defense finished out the half pretty well and the offense is a mess. Who knows what we see in the second half. I’d bet on OU breaking out and we will need to get something going offensively or it could get ugly.

Orlando Defense after a Texas offensive TD = automatic easy TD by opposing team

Our DBs are being put into position to make plays and stops.

The problem is they're whiffing at a horrifically high rate. Both BJ and Chris Brown literally bounced off Lamb on that TD run.
