HOCKLEY, Texas — The No. 9 Texas Men's Golf team registered a 4-1 victory over No. 21 Baylor in the championship match at the 2023 Big 12 Match Play Tournament on Wednesday at the Clubs at Houston Oaks. The Longhorns claimed their second Big 12 Match Play Tournament title in the fifth year of the event, as Texas also won the crown in 2021.

The Longhorns return to the course when they conclude the fall season at the Cypress Point Invitational on October 30-31 (Monday-Tuesday) in Carmel, Calif.

It’s weird that there hasn’t been an update in thread in months, but that’s not why I am posting.

Someone mentioned that Texas has the most individual Masters winners at 3. Not sure if there’s a convenient way to confirm that so figured I’d ask here since some posters always seem to know their shit about whatever sport is being discussed.

It appears that is correct. Texas has three winners (Crenshaw x2, Spieth, Scheffler), while Stanford and Houston have two. Stanford (Woods x5, Watson x2) and Ohio State (Nicklaus x6) have more overall wins. Wake Forest also has four because of Palmer.
