Even by SEC standards, that schedule is an embarrassment.

The ND games look like misprints compared to the rest.

If only aggy didn't have aggy brains...

this type of scheduling + the pirate - 4 or 5 million a year would have netted them 8 or 9 wins a year with the occasional 10 win year mixed in from time to time...  QBs that can hit a target. WRs that can catch. 700 points a  vs their cuppycakes. Only one or two bad(ish) losses balanced out by a much close loss than Vegas expected. And every 4-5 years, pull off the upset vs one of the top SEC dogs or top 10 OOC opponent....

This would have been aggy GOLD.  The FrankenTackleGuanaKrogerDonkeySheepBox would have stayed packed during Leach's entire stint with aggy not wanting to miss the exact moment the sleeping giant finally awoke...

Same old aggy....but on a higher flying, higher scoring, better entertained level. Final scores really don't matter much as long as our QB looked like he's ready to carry us to the promise land next year...

(Not a knock on The Pirate. I don't think anyone could win at aggyville)

I know----stupid sip, the SECSECSEC would never use inferior bff offenses. They are too easy to stop by the SECSECSEC defenses-  whoop!

And that includes an 8 game conference schedule against teams that essentially have 4 gimme games.

Well, Miss State attempted to schedule 4 gimmes.  ULALa, Southern Miss, and Abilene Christian seemed to have them on the right track.  But they made the mistake of scheduling B12 juggernaut and regular member of Murderer's Row-- Kansas State-- and cost themselves that 4th game.

But not to worry, next year they've corrected that mistake by scheduling New Mexico, Tulane, Alabama State, and NC State.  Problem solved!

Aggies, your silence is deafening  (SECRANT post today):

Comparatively speaking of course, as this board is usually riddled with horrible trolling from those friggin weirdos. This is a nice change of pace.

Gd I hate having A&M in the SEC.

Nah. I like the thought of watching them go 7-5 the next 8 years while paying 7.5M per year to their head coach.

They could accomplish that in any other conference, and we wouldn't have to deal with their weird shit."

Aggie is weird (secrant) by Cardboard Boxer:

"Not really, its just putting yourself in another person's shoes is beyond the capacity of many of yall.

Imagine if your team wasn't so great, and hadn't won a national title in your lifetime. Imagine your team was stuck in a conference so obscure that national football fans regularly confuse you with smaller programs in your state, and if you are lucky you get one ESPN article about your season every three years or so. Imagine no one even hates you because that would mean caring about you at all.

Then all of a sudden your team changes conferences, and for about the exact same level of success you always have had suddenly everyone nationally knows who your team is, and fans of programs with actual major success that would have confused your team with Texas Tech ten years ago now can't wait to come to a web forum after a big game to talk down to you.

You know how many OU fans were excited to talk down to us after 0-77? None.

You know how many fans even in the Big 12 wanted to talk about how we sucked on the field rather than get all into how army or not army our corps is? None.

Every day yall hate on us yall validate every decision we have made since conference realignment. That whole move was about becoming relevant and we are now."

Tell me again what Jimbo is accomplishing that Sumlin wouldn't have accomplished? Besides being white?

Over the past two years, since taking over the Texas A&M program, Jimbo Fisher has only five victories over teams with a winning record.

During the same period, (other than rookie coaches) every Big 12 coach has more than 5 victories over teams with a winning record.

Over the past two years, the only Big 12 program with five or fewer victories over teams with a winning record is Kansas.

Kent State is going to a bowl this season (fourth in school history, second in the last 46 years). I'm sure aggy is already working on getting the Flashes off the schedule and replacing them with Collin County Community College's intramural champions.

Does this hold up if you parse it to fbs and P5 teams with winning records?

Jimbo's record so far at aggy is 16-9 (.640). He has played two FCS teams since taking over the aggy program. He won both games. Neither of the FCS titan programs he beat finished their season with a winning record. His five wins over teams with winning programs all happened in 2018 - Kentucky, So. Carolina, UAB, LSU, and N.C. State.

Against FBS competition, he is .560. Against SEC competition, he is .563.

Since joining the SEC, A&M is .650 overall, .571 in conference play.

In the big 12, aggy went .567 overall, and .527 in conference play.

In the SWC, aggy went .587 overall, .532 in conference play.

If aggys had the balls to teach the actual history of their school, aggys would know that at half time during A&M's first ever football game in 1894, the aggys were losing so badly at half time, they quit and decided not to come out and play the second half. They have been cursed since their very first game.

Dude's confusing relevance with utter disdain and disgust.  They don't like you, aggy.

Really, as a fan of a program, do folks really want to pay current ticket prices to see these crap teams at the Tackle Box?  It's a big outlay of cash for a family of four for tix, $12 beers, $10 hotdogs, etc.  As a consumer, seems like at some point you vote with your pocket book and quit going.

You're right and it already happens there.  Have you seen how empty their stadium is when they're playing anyone other than Alabama, LSU, or Auburn?

No and you’re seeing that even in big time programs right now.  Conference expansion has diluted the schedule and with TV being ubiquitous, people are staying at home.

Aggy will sell season tickets and those holders will renew for Bama, LSU, and Barn but they’ll skip the trash games.  Aggy will claim sellout, though.

So they are right. They are doing better in the SEC than the BIG XII.

Aggy can’t wait to kill them like the national guard.
