That not good news for Bernie's version of Medicare for All.

Fortune 500's will just up salaries to keep the barriers high for smaller and start up innovators. Among the other ways they reduce competition and dominate. But everyone will have healthcare with a huge risk pool.

Right, but at the very least someone like me who could possibly make a living just being a single consultant for people would be much more likely to do so if we had guaranteed healthcare that was provided through an easy tax that everyone has to pay vs rolling the dice with whatever piece of shit my awful conservative state is going to provide me on the marketplace. Being stuck in your job because you don't want to switch since you'll likely have to meet a BRAND NEW DEDUCTIBLE is also something we never talk about and likely fucks people over.

I would hope they along with all Democrats would be focused on both.  No matter who wins the nomination, they will be faced with an onslaught of attacks.

Yeah that sounds nice but if you don't know the Bernie cult, they're pre-programmed to gaslight, dismiss, and whatabout any criticism of High Sparrow Bernard.  This is a trend I'm picking up.

But you are Blue no matter Who, right?

Lol, that's for the Hugos and #Resistance Wine Moms to use on Twitter that of course only applies to those evil Bernie Bros that are 100% white males and never women or people of color.

Hugo is a libertarian.

We all go through that phase and then realize billionaires and corporations just use that ideological cover as a way of collecting welfare for themselves. Then they become the lynchpins to the horrible bureaucracy Ayn warned against.

Remember when Hugo went through a phase where he was trying to emulate b_t and tell everyone who wasn't a socialist that they were Republicans?

Now he's saying he'd vote for a "normal" Republican over Bernie.

Huh.

Scoff if you will, but if offered a choice between that and a shit sandwich garnished with strychnine, then I think I'd find that bologna & mayo sandwich to be quite appetizing, indeed.

Deciding between a bologna and mayo sandwich or a shit sandwich doesn't sound good, some might just choose to stay home and eat a hot pocket. As I recall, this happened in 2016 with HRC. Granted, I think Biden might bring some of those voters back to the polls. Still, it isn't a given people will show up to vote.

This sounds similar to what a trumper would say. Ha

Just seeing the similarities, not agree with thier message.

Biden doesn’t bring the visceral hatred from a decades long smear campaign.  He’s def not part of the “lesser of two evils” type of candidate.  People that voted for Trump Bc of a “devil you know” type deal don’t have much of a dislike of Biden the Dude.

They like him actually. Which truly chaps the Twitterati because in their hearts, he’s the worst. But he ain’t.

The segments of mass media that are agreeing right now to do the DNC's bidding and give us Biden, should agree right now to ignore and bury every Trump attempt at whataboutism, both sidesing, and other shit that's meant to make Trump's corruption simply one brand of dirty politics rather than the criminal enterprise that it is.

I am not so sure that is an accurate take on Biden from the Trump camp and his supporters. They are extremely pissed their President was impeached and Biden was never investigated. And it ties into "attempted coup" strain of bitterness. I would be careful on getting too comfortable with the idea that Biden is a "good guy" in their world.

Agree? Let democracy play out.

Well, yeah. But corporate fucks are gonna do their thing. My point is really that the DNC is setting themselves up for 4 more years out of power by giving Trump the campaign lies he wants to run with.

Having said that, in a private conversation in 2017 Joe Biden told me he has an illegitimate black child in South Carolina, and he wishes the cops would just shoot the kid so he could stop sending checks.

Biden and McCain were in the closet making black babies in South Carolina and I saw one the babies and it looked at me

There is merit to Trump's whataboutism and both-sidesing when it comes to Joe Biden and the fucking Ukraine, where he through his son were up to the very same shady shit as Trump...

By rallying around Joe as the "safe" choice? Then yeah, they are. I swear those fucks never learn. Want to know why Hillary wasn't able to so much as bring up Jeffery Epstein in her campaign or the debates? Because her fucking horndog of a husband was one of the few more frequent flyers on the Lolita Express than Donald himself.

Same dance, different tune this time around.

Fuck Trump and Fuck the DNC.

Lol and mayor of a private school college town that just happened to be Indiana

South Bend is not a "private school college town". Notre Dame isn't even officially IN the South Bend city limits. The students at ND are very insulated on campus, and when they go off campus they typically go to Michiana, which is a more wealthy and whiter suburb.

The average income in SB is like $20k, and the city is 40% non-white. It's understandable that you didn't know it, but stop thinking that ND represents the kind of people in South Bend. It's not true.

Anyone who says Joe & Hunter practice the “exact same” type of corruption as Trump and his dilettante offspring is not worth listening to.

In this one instance, it was, and that is why the Dems were idiots to choose this matter, of all the kilometric fuckton of megafuckery Trump has pulled, to impeach on.

They had to know the Senate won't convict, and they had to know that their Golden Boy mainstream candidate would be tarred beyond redemption by the process and its aftermath, which is exactly what is going to happen.

If they did not know both of those things, they are even bigger idiots than I thought, but I guess I am the biggest moron of of all for thinking there was a bottom to their stupidity.

Yes, ND is a bubble surrounded by poverty that it is blind to. You're right.

Which side of the bubble was Pete raised on?

What schools did he go to? With whom did his family socialize?

Yeoman Pete

- Parents were professors at Notre Dame
- Went to Harvard and Oxford
- Worked at McKinsey

SHAPED BY THE AMERICAN HEARTLAND

He was born and raised in South Bend. Lived there until he was 18.

Then 4 years at Harvard, 1 in D.C., 2 years at Oxford, then 2-ish years in Chicago.

Moved back to South Bend at 28 and has been there ever since.

Spending 27+ years of your 38 years on this planet in South Bend, IN - seems fair to say it has shaped him.
