It was never going to be a cakewalk. His opponents aren't dumb.

I don't think Bernie is going to do well in SC. I think he finishes 3rd behind Biden (who I think will in by 10+) and Steyer. He'll maintain the popular vote and delegate lead, but the current air of invincibility with shatter.

Agreed 100%, which is why Sanders is the clear choice for me and it's not even close.

The obsession with being performatively capitalist is odd. It's like people who are loyal to Chevy or Ford and don't actually care about performance, reliability, or value.

The goal is to have a society where people are motivated to innovate and work (not for its own sake, but for the betterment of mankind), everyone is provided for, and we live in peace and security, right?

What do the labels we place on things actually matter?

And what mechanisms are Bernie and Dem Socialists going to use to get people to “innovate and work”?

10 cents on the dollar...?

Need some stat classes in here. It’s the will of the people in that he won the elections in almost every state.

Do any of you really think that Bernie would prevail in a series of primary runoffs?

That's why there's a convention.

Bloomberg does a lot better in a town hall setting than a debate when he is getting hammered from all sides.

Debates are stupid and a horrible way for voters to select the best candidate.  Ted Cruz is an incredibly effective debater.  He's a shitty senator and would make and even shittier president.

I do feel like if the DNC was going to engage their conspiracy, they'd kick it into action now and clear the field for Biden.

They probably would do that, but Bloomberg is also an outsider Republican who bought his way into the primary. Steyer too. None of the real Dems are affecting Biden all that much except Pete. Bloomberg is the one killing Bidens campaign.

Jesse Jackson speaking powerful truth about Biden being Obama's right-wing cover and how Obama's silence in the face of Bloomberg's use of him in ads is complicity.

Al Sharpton weighing in as well. Win SC and shut this shit down Bern.

I’m trying to think of who I wouldn’t vote for against Trump. Certainly no current D. I guess if Sarah Palin switched parties and somehow won the D nom I’d have some thinking to do.

Not me. I'd vote Palin over Trump every day of the week. Its a pretty low bar.  I'd probably vote for about 90% of the population over Trump.  If McConnell was the D nom, I'd vote Trump. Outside of that, there are probably serial killers who would be more competent Presidents than Trump.

What's pretty funny is that I think Warren, Biden, et al, would have a lot better shot at denying Bernie a majority of delegates if a few of them dropped out as having so many candidates in the field through Super Tuesday will result in most of them falling below the 15% threshold in each state, allowing Bernie to suck up even more delegates (like what happened in Nevada).  What's even funnier is that the 15% threshold rule was supposed to make it even harder for outsiders like Bernie to compete in this process.

Why yes that is a list of motels within an hour of Milwaukee, why do you ask?

So what you're saying is, Milwaukee and Wisconsin should start preparing for violence now?

Even as a shitty sarcastic “joke” this is stupid and dumb; very on brand for you.

Y’all love to mirror the right wing nutbars in all the wrong ways.

Even joking threats of violence as a consequence of not getting your political way are wrong.

You middle aged white men have real issues no matter what political persuasion.

Stop being an asshole.

So not Chicago '68?

Let's hope not!

Ideally, once every contest is over the candidates who have not won the plurality of delegates say, "I am suspending my campaign. The people have spoken and I was not their choice. In the interest of party unity as we face the most dangerous president in modern history, I am calling on all of my supporters and delegates to get behind <whoever won the most votes/delegates> so we can push forward in unity and defeat Donald Trump."

That would be ideal. That would set us up to trounce Donald and usher in some really important change to prevent future Donalds and make this nation better for everyone! WOO!!!!

Fill in the blank with whoever that might be. Bernie's obviously the frontrunner now, but I think Biden will dominate SC by 10+ (15+ maybe) and that could shift the dynamic wildly. (As of now, those are the only two realistic majority/plurality winners.)

(Except Bloomberg. I will never accept Bloomberg. If he wins an outright plurality legitimately I won't be protesting, but I won't vote for him either. I'll just pout and drink and grumpily make room for myself on the ledge as Brisket laughs at me and I pretend not to be deeply hurt by all the well-deserved owning and dunking I will be on the receiving end of. I will not be mad and I will love it, actually.)

Feels like Warren is making a solid final push. Her potential results in some Super Tuesday states are much better than Iowa, NH, and NV.

Im hoping Warren can turn this around. She is my favorite by far. Followed by Biden, Bloomberg, and Klobuchar. Bernie and Pete aren't even on my board.

She is getting a lot of positive press right now due to her solid debate/townhall performances. The twitter activist crowd seem to love her too. One of the most perplexing things about this race has been the hesitancy by many in the party to get behind her. They hate Bernie so much yet refuse to back the most competent person in the race. It's been frustrating to watch and has turned me off to this party even more. Establishment Dems would rather have a meek president than someone who would actually wield power.

Bernie getting DESTROYED in Florida.

I know we're covered up with Pete and Liz folks here, but you really might want to make a better choice to defeat the Dread Communist and start pouring cash and time into Joe's campaign.

(Or join the dark side.)

Yeah, Biden's numbers have made a real comeback.  That's troubling.  I'm on the record doubting Bern's electability but I think he's more electable than Biden, who really sucks at this.

Trump makes Palin seem like a Rhodes scholar

I think both are in the same boat. Neither one should come within 3000 miles of being on a ballot. Because of the acceptance of a single party for someone as stupid, dumb and totally unqualified as Palin, the country has Trump.

I don't know about meek but having someone "who would actually wield power" is the same terrible path we've been heading down for a while now. We need Congress to be the ones who wield power more than the President.

But yes, I realize they won't stop being pussies when the President is from their party anytime soon.
