Dart Bowl Texas toast frowns on your shenanigans.

as someone who never enjoyed bowling I’ve never made it over to dart bowl.  I do like enchiladas though.  have heard things over the years I would just like some clarification: are they excellent bowling alley enchiladas or are they excellent enchiladas?  answer from your heart please.

On a good day they’re really good enchiladas. I’ve had a couple less than great experiences over the years but they’re never bad.

They’re genuinely fantastic enchiladas. For serious. Like, we’ve gone there just for dinner. Several times.

Living in the future, but you’re not going to dart now here in the now? Shame.

To be fair, Dart Bowl's toast is otherworldly. It's probably the only place I would choose toast over tortillas.

Is that 7 pork rinds and some trail mix? Are you going on a hike and on a diet?

Edit: after more thought, clearly you’re doing keto. Ok cool. Lose that weight amigo! But this is not the thread for people who are counting carbs.

Bonus points for using the plastic spatula. Obviously this is you and not your wife cooking.

HAHAH - yes. And that pan is off limits anyway. I found it a thrift store a couple of years ago for  $1.95 and it is by far my favorite. I like it more than the $100 one I got as a wedding present.

My wife hates bell peppers, but man I wish I thought about the banana peppers. I'm pretty sure I have a jar in the fridge too

One thing the Guidos get right is sausage and peppers.

If she hates bell, get some other fresh sweet peppers to fry up. Flavor is your friend. Hell, even canned green chiles would suffice.

i fucking despise bell peppers and i was very pleased when the BA test kitchen crew almost universally panned green bells.

Except for the defense of them as part of the cajun trinity, which is a sacred and valid defense.  And for that matter, sauteed with onions and italian sausage, yeah, the guidos nailed that.

Let us not forget about the beer brat. Simmered in onion and green pepper.

I have seriously been thinking about doing that this Thursday night for several days now. I don't have a grill at home, so I'm thinking boil them in the onion/beer mix then searing in cast iron before topping with said onions?

I wouldn't really boil but simmer.  Cast iron would work fine, all you need is a little color on the brats.
