Why’d the cop show up at the house the first time if Amma didn’t go and get him? I understand when he came back since Curry insisted but the first time he shows up and leaves doesn’t make much sense.

I also felt like it was way too long. The story definitely dragged at the beginning. I’m glad I recorded 4 or 5 episodes and binge watched them at first or I don’t think I would’ve gotten into the story if I would’ve had to wait a week for minimal advancement of the story over the first 3 or 4 weeks. I definitely would’ve quit the show.

Damnit, just spotted something else. Amma's new black friend eating dinner and Camille sees either cuts or tats all along her fingers and wrist. Cam gives her an odd look. Were those real, or did Cam imagine them? I couldn't tell.

I thought it said “call mom” or something in black marker.  But I dunno why that would warrant the odd look.  So I’m probably wrong.

Now that we're done with the whole thing I can see why someone thought this should have been a mini-series.  They just botched it.

I don't think it was about just not getting along, because they did get along... those dead girls were seen as threats to Amma's relationship with Adora, and later Camille.

It did.  Initially, I was asking why Mae would write that, but then it occurred to me that Camille might just be wondering, who wrote it?  Amma?

It felt like the director thought he could go on forever showing brief flashbacks endless vague inquiries. Then somebody burst into his office and said, "dude, you got to end this thing."

The delicate genius throws together an ending of sorts but, get this, cool patrol, he reveals something key in the closing credits!

It ended up being a let down. Is the book good?

I think the book is better. Books are usually better. I think the series missed the mark and made it too much about the family history and trauma and didn't really explore the murders so the ending was thrown out there without really exploring the motive behind the killings.

It did say Call Mom on her thumb, but I paused the DVR to get a closer look and there was a bunch of stuff on her fingers and the other hand that I never noticed in the other scenes. That's why I was wondering if it was imagined by Cam.

The book is mercifully short.  It's alright.

I still can’t figure out why they focused on the brother as a suspect the whole series? He had no motive and there was zero evidence against him, right?

There was so many unanswered storylines

1. What happened to Ritter? Why was he cool with Adora poisoning his kid?

2. Why did town cop hang around Adora? Was he banging her?

3. Was Camille gang raped as a kid in the woods? Was it consensual? Why was there a shed with torture porn in it?

4. Who the fuck was the girl who killed herself in the pysch ward? Why did Camille commit herself to be in there?

i could go on

The brother had one of the girl’s (I assume his sister) blood under his bed, but I’m not sure they explained how it got there...

If you’re going to drag out a miniseries like pretty little liars, you need to at least have something like Nicole Kidman nude scenes to keep my interest. Flabby Amy Adams with cuts all over her body didn’t do it for me.

this show sucked and yes to the above

You know what this means?   I need to get a better television.

Early in the series, there is a big deal made about people in the community who don't fit in or are weird. Then there is the bit about the people of the town pulling all of the stones out of the water of the murder scene and taking them out of town. The film of that was creepy and disturbing. This stuff goes nowhere.

Adora's husband was an unbelievable character. The detective seemed like he was from New York rather than Kansas City. I didn't care anything about his relationship with Camille.

The show gets by on moody shots and editing. I tired of Camille's flashbacks. I wanted more of the story that was in the present.

First of all, it’s Big Little Lies, and that show wasn’t dragged out. Take it back. Big Little Lies was SO good, way better than this one, though I mostly enjoyed watching this one. But there are a lot of weird plot holes.
