I'm like the Far Side dog watching the cat peek in the dryer with the "Cat Fud" sign on the open door.  "Oh please, oh please!" let Mike Leach come to Starkville.  He'll be holding his first press conference at the bovine semen collection corral.

Scoff all you like, but at least two very good things are produced at MSU:

Christmas cheese balls and premium ice cream

Does that "Muscadine Ripple" have any alcohol in it? Asking for a friend.

Oh, and please, please, please let the Pirate play aggy again every year. Oh, Lord, would that be fun as hell.

Just hell no on the pirate.  Seems we are meeting with Napier again (this afternoon)... He was waiting on the bowl game... then he was waiting to hear what baylor would say.. So maybe we still get our #1 choice. If not, looks to be Sark but that's not a certain yet.

Weird move, dude was not the problem at Ole Miss last year. The fans really liked him.

He was good and improved a terrible defense.  It may have something to do with the fact that's he's making almost $5 million a year total from both CU and OM.  Think the OM job was 2 or 3 years guaranteed.

https://247sports.com/Article/Mike-MacIntyre-will-earn-more-money-with-Ole-Miss-after-Colorado-head-coach-firing-126237764/

Quote

But for new Ole Miss Rebels defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre, who was fired as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes at the end of this season, taking an assistant position at the college level made the most financial sense for him.

That's because of a specific buyout provision in MacIntyre's Colorado contract. Per the language in the contract, MacIntyre had a "duty to obtain new employment," per a report from USA Today. Colorado is obligated to pay its former head coach his full $10.3 million buyout in monthly installments through 2021, but the amount can be offset by MacIntyre's new employment. However, that won't happen for the new Rebels coordinator because his contract states that the buyout amount can only be reduced if MacIntyre has a job as a college head coach, NFL head coach or NFL assistant coach.

Since MacIntyre remained at the college level as an assistant, he will be able to collect his full Ole Miss salary, $1.5 million, and the entirety of his buyout payments. When totaled, the sum comes out to around $4.9 million per year. As the Colorado head coach, MacIntyre was only making $3 million in base salary per year, not including likely attainable incentives that totaled $300,000.

Yeah, F that. But I think, sadly, Cowbell U is a place where he would fit in perfectly. He'll torment the fuck out of the rest of the conference and not have too much pressure (I know, they just fired a guy after 2 years, but Leach has a personality and they might eat that shit up).

lol at ole miss...  MSU just one upping their hire.

Can't wait to see leach put that offense right up the sec west's ass...  they'll still be also rans but I do like the chaos factor.

Yeah, with Leach running his stuff and Lane and Arkansas running the veer and shoot, the bottom of the division might pop you on a given Saturday.

Gundy's probably playing T. Boone for a raise.

Are you fucking telling me that on top of fashioning an amazing mullet, winning at Oklahoma State, and running one of the most perpetually innovative offenses in college football, one of Gundy's other gifts is that he's a successful practitioner of necromancy? Unfuckingbelievable, that guy.

He get a shovel?

If T. Boone didn’t create an irrevocable trust earmarked solely for raises for the rest of Gundy’s coaching career, then he must’ve really been slipping in his old age.

Pretty sure that only means that Gundy's seventh son will be gifted with the Sight.  Being the seventh son of a non-seventh son ain't worth shit.
