Sam Ehlinger

It's insignificant compared to what he's dealing with now, but rookie minicamps started for the Colts today.

Sam was already going to be in a battle; missing out on valuable adjustment time and preparation is only going to make things tougher. Can't imagine how he shoulders all of these burdens.

Here in Columbus we’re hearing how Justin Fields is dazzling them in Chicago. It’s all meaningless until and unless we see actual results on the, well, field.

The Colts are resting several veteran players during Friday’s practice, but that isn’t the reason why quarterback Carson Wentz will be sitting out.

Wentz will miss the workout with a foot injury. There’s been no other information from the team about the severity of the issue or when Wentz might be back on the field. Jacob Eason, Sam Ehlingerand Jalen Morton will handle the quarterbacking duties for the time being.

Something to keep an eye on as Wentz can never stay healthy. Positive reports coming out about Sam. 🤘🏼

Do the right thing Ballard.

I think I may just become a Colts fan.

Me too. I hope they don’t try for some veteran presence but they probably will. Foles is too expensive (and it would completely fuck up Wentz.) Bortles? I mean there aren’t a whole lot of options. If Reich is everything I have read that he is he should roll with Eason and Ehlinger and give them tons of reps and coach them up. No need to bring in a veteran presence. Colts have a pretty good team with a healthy Wentz, I figure if they use the next couple of weeks to develop Sam and Eason that would be the best move. I think Sam can beat out Eason given enough reps etc..
