Rewatched the game and also watched some all access stuff on LHN.  Brandon Jones is playing like the 5 star recruit he was.  Dude has laid the wood and is a monster in run support.  He's had 2-3 great goal line tackling plays.  He's going to get drafted if he continues to play this well.  The safety trio of Jones, Sterns, Foster is the best we've had in almost a decade.  So excited to see our DBs playing at a high level again.

And for those that love recruiting, his national signing day commitment put a dagger in aggy's heart.  One of my favorite commitments.

He is really good. He needs to spend two days a week working on nothing but wrapping up and playing the ball in the air on deep passes. He is an interesting guy to watch because he is simply great in so many aspects but straight up poor on tracking deep passes, and he gets lazy on his tackling sometimes.

His ball skills will keep him from being a first-round pick, but he's made the third-year leap for sure.

Wasn't he a high 4* low 5*?  Maybe the recruiting rankings are onto something.

if the 3rd year leap holds true, imagine Sterns in 2020.

BJones not fastest player on current team either.

K.Boyd, J.Burt, D.Jamison.... any others??

Wonder how fast Gary Johnson has been clocked??

I'm not sure about this. He has real football speed that you can see, but not clocked. Johnny Gray had it.

Someone on some thread said he was the dumbest player on the team. Between that and Hollywood Colt’s breakout player prediction, we’ve got some real smart fans here.

Brandon is a headhunter on defense, but he still get's lost in coverage at times, and he is still prone to taking bad angles.

That being said, the good far outweighs the bad. Glad he is on the Good Guys team.
This, though his angles have been better than Boyd, Locke, and Davis, the latter two in particular. He has bailed them out on run plays several times - 4th and goal vs USC and a run to the edge that Baylor tried last week that has been circulating in gif form both being prime examples. Having Sterns back there playing CF has really let him tee off in run support.
