I think objectively we are the best two teams in the conference. Yeah, I'm on one right now, but I don't need to be to say that with a straight face.

You mean, under one (in Tijuana)?

What made me laugh as well as one of them said they have never seen a faster qb than him.  Mike Vick and vince seem to be distant memories I guess....or Joel took too many hits to the head.

He obviously missed Taysom Hill in his prime or Matt Jones at Arkansas, hell even Vince Young was equally fast.

I saw somewhere that Murray claims a 4.38 40 (probably high school).  Vick ran a 4.33 in his pro day and was bigger and stronger.  In pads, it wouldn't even be close.  Vick destroyed LeSean McCoy in the 40 when he was 33 and McCoy was 24.

Obviously, anyone is going to lose to Vick in the fastest QB contest.

Vick was considered the first dual threat QB of our era in CFB, or of any era, correct?

Are you serious with the last part of that question? You think dual threat QBs didn't exist in college football before 1999?

Obviously they weren't common.  Scott Frost, Steve Young, etc were both dual threat QBs but they were QBs who could run.  But it seems like Vick was one of the first to have the offense designed primarily around this dual threat capacity?

42-0 in 3 years as a starting QB and won 3 straight state titles at the highest classification, accounting for over 14,500 total yards and 186 touchdowns. Yeah he's a top 10 all time TX HS player. He's also an entitled prima dona little bitch, that doesn't change how utterly unstoppable he was in high school.

And they've been pretty close to 42-0 since he left. One of the perks of having 7000 kids to pick from

Does Coach Riley really think anybody in Oklahoma is gonna get the reference, "It was a tale of two games?"

Because the State of Oklahoma is very simply the worst of the two.

Norman is the worst of the two cities.

And being a Sooner sure as shit is the worst of Times.

Most of the people on that team need to understand something.  Not only are you statistically not going to make the NFL.  But you're probably not gonna graduate.  And even if you do, it's worth a worthless degree from a glorified community college that nobody else in the other 49 states gives any gravity to.  Not every school called "University of (insert state name here)" is equal, okay fellas?  Life is gonna get a whole helluva lot worse once you take that crimson helmet off.  It's not gonna be sunshine and giggles.  It's gonna be rough.  It's gonna be filled with a couple of years of running up your credit card to meet girls at clubs, and getting a few hundred dollar handshakes from alumni at all-you-can-eat Asian buffets.  And then a BizDev job in Tulsa at a used car lot or payday loan store.  Then when your name really starts to loose luster, you'll be lucky to get free cover charge at the Edmond, OK ultra-lounge.  Finally, you'll go back to the family business---shift manager at a Stuckey's in the OK Panhandle.  And you'll die with 4 kids by 3 mommas in Ardmore with nothing to your name but that few lines of notes in some bygone preseason media book from 40 years ago.  And your small station in life is because you picked the wrong fucking school and the wrong fucking side of history.

The world is littered with the names of guys nobody ever gave a shit about in the first place who never to anything but a few snaps for some team I can barely remember.  And the place where those dreams litter the roadside is called Oklahoma.  The world will little note nor long remember anybody who attended the University of Oklahoma.  Because the rest of us live in real life, you fuckers rely on broken dreams.

Yup. Or just calling it the same both ways there at the end, I think they were also caught up in the momentum of it all.

Overall good job by the officials. No bull shit targeting. No ten min reviews of obvious calls. Can't believe I'm saying that.

It was really nice watching a game that felt at least fairly consistently officiated.  I saw missed calls on both sides, but nothing that felt egregious in either direction.

And yes, no ten minute, momentum killing reviews was also a nice change.

Tommie Frazier, for one. He was incredible to watch.

Tommie Frazier was actually one of the main reasons dual threat was considered rare. Frazier was an option quarterback, possibly the best ever. He was a runner first, second, and third with a dash of throwing to keep the defense honest. In those days Nebraskas system was one of the dominant systems and teams basically put an additional running back in the backfield at QB. Vick was one of the first guys in the modern era to break the mold, but even then he was an elite runner and an average passer.

If we only win one game each year, I hope it is against the land thieves and we kick the shit out of them. I almost missed singing Happy Birthday to my one year old grandson because of the ending. My daughter also a big Horns fan decided to post pone the singing until after Dicker drilled the uprights.  Gotta remember to send my daughter an extra special Christmas present for her good judgement, common sense and dedication.

To each their own but I'd never wear a shirt disparaging (or even referencing) a rival team. It's like an OU fan or A&M fan doing the horns down gesture. No class.
For the record, I think it makes a great message board post. I just wouldn't wear it. Give me something that supports my team instead of mocking someone else.

Yeah, it's a T-shirt fan gesture, but this is a surly academic inside joke.

Bigger fucking problem, crimson? CRIMSON? You think I'm going to wear crimson...good luck with that. All burnt orange lettering.

Your daughter scheduled a B-day party on the very day of the OU game? Not good parenting, CPS should have grabbed her many years ago..

I happily wore a bootleg OU Sucks/Aggie Swallows shirt in my younger days, but I spilled way too much beer and barbeque sauce on it and the sweat stains on white add up after a few years of tailgates.

My "Hey USC ... ever try to put a Trojan on a Longhorn?"  T-shirt is in bad taste?
