We should but if you can’t see that the “journalists” like Mollie Hemingway and other Trump mouthpieces have their own agendas at Fox News and the federalist with regards to their hit pieces on the NYT, I don’t know what to tell you.

When have these institutions ever championed the value of journalism in our society?

When have they ever said one good thing about Hillary Clinton?

Who is going to call them out?

As opposed to the agendas the journalists political activists at the New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, and CNN have?  The media have gone from "we report, you decide" to "we will tell you what to think, you sit your butt on the couch and watch."

Look, if you think that conservative media is the equivalent of the rest of the news, there's really no use arguing.  You're oblivious and inoculated to facts and reality.  You're brainwashed and just don't know it.  A cross section of your brain would probably show an enlarged amygdala (lizard brain) which is the emotional/fear center of the brain and that's how you process data.  So it's really not your fault.  It's your physical brain structure physiology.

b : a usually humorous or sardonic literary style or form characterized by irony

Whataboutism at its finest. The NYT fucked up. They should be called out for their fuckup and they should apologize for it. No matter how big a liar trump is and no matter if other outlets do worse

Still not sold on how the NYT “fucked up” in this case or the real consequences of the fuck up but if they did, yeah they should correct and apologize just as everyone else in civilized society should from politics to business.

glass houses and throwing stones aside.

The liberal-media bias debate is a distraction, imo. Too much time is spent on this argument in the political arena. What concerns me about the media is the government has been attempting to suppress the media in the name of national security ever since 9/11. Surprisingly, Trump has kept his war on the press to name calling whereas Obama and Bush used the power of the state to go after reporters and their informants.

We are in an interesting period where a lot of issues stemming from leaks are popping up. As a nation we should put our focus on the freedom of the press rather than the liberal-media bias distraction because it impacts all of us.

Remember all the caterwauling going on in the media about Trump's treatment of the media being a threat to democracy a couple of months ago?  Below I will list every American journalist who has issued a statement in support of Tommy Robinson.

Stephen probably shouldn't have openly violated a court order.

Politco headline of the Colorado gay cake baker Surpreme Court decision.

Supreme Court rules narrowly in favor of Colorado baker in same-sex wedding case

It was a 7-2 decision.

I'll take "People who don't even know why they are wrong" for $1000.

I may have to mark this one down to outright sloppy reporting in a how does this sound when it is actually read out loud type of way rather than media bias. Seems like they could have used a better word than narrow if they are discussing the technical aspects of the decision rather than how the vote went. Seems like something such as "rules procedurally in favor of" would have been less confusing when reading the headlines.

You know that reporters don't write headlines, right?

That's awesome. ^^

There was another Tweet from some media guy about Trump loving dictators, or something along those lines, and then someone showed his Tweet about Obama calling good Ol' Raul Castro and how wonderful it was.

I know there is an affinity to look at this as BoTh SIDeS but that isn’t an accurate comparison.

Trump has repeatedly gone against our democratic allies (canada, UK, Germany, France, Mexico, Australia) while showing openness to and never attacking anti-democratic authoritarians (Putin, Erdogan, Duterte).

Trump loving dictators while attacking democracies isn’t equivalent to Obama’s approach.

Trump capitulated and floodgates are open now.

He’s going to need to start a war to distract from the shit that’s going to come out over the next two weeks.

Fox News can only talk about Hillary’s emails and Strozk texts for so long.

Fox News and OAN have an agenda as well and fits your “we will tell you what to think” bullshit but for some reason you failed to mention that.

It's open season. They found the weakness. The GOP knows it.

Is there a gas-lighting thread?

"what our assessment is of the present, is in fact what it began spontaneously in Benghazi as a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo, where of course as you know there was a violent protest outside of our embassy sparked by this hateful video."

Politico Magazine on Friday published an op-ed written by a former classmate of Stephen Miller detailing the quirks of the now-White House policy adviser when he was in third grade.

“I Sat on the Other Side of Stephen Miller’s First Wall,” wrote John Muller, who attended Franklin Elementary School in Santa Monica, California, with Miller, a key architect of the Trump administration’s immigration policies, decades ago.

“It’s hard to say how much a kid’s behavior in third grade can really tell you about the inner workings of his soul,” Muller admited, before plowing on. He wrote that it was difficult to make Miller laugh, and remembered that Miller did not laugh at all at a story he wrote about a chicken.

“Stephen Miller’s First Wall” was evidently a boundary made of white masking tape he used to keep their desks separated, which Muller said “struck me as odd.”

This is insane.

Republicans have zero self awareness.  Yeah, democrats guilty of that too but this graphic indicates the Republicans are indoctrinated.

The democrats at least acknowledge the bias on their side with HuffPo and Mother Jones.

The Republicans think Breitbart is less biased than PBS.

WTF

The numbers for independents in most polls continue to frighten me.

Independents and centrists aren't attracted to a candidate. They are repulsed from a candidate. Dems double down on immigration and guns push more to the right than Trumps moves could.
