You're assuming that Myles would have acquired those skills at Texas and not under NBA coaching.

The NCAA is a better place to find your game than the NBA. For one thing you aren't a 19 year old trying to find your game against crafty seasoned vets that are 10 years older than you, and much stronger than you.

Why does Sabonis get a pass for lacking offensive skills?  Compare the two and they look pretty similar, with Turner having the slight edge.

Some guys are naturally more skilled. For example, T Thompson just is never going to be a jump shooter. It is what it is. Meanwhile a guy like Durant has every skill in the world. Turner has more offensive skills than Sabonis. However, Sabonis is better at using the few offensive skills that he has.

I wouldn't say crushing it but they are definitely having solid careers.

Myles has taken a weird step back this season. He's still averaging almost 3 blocks in less than 30 mpg. He will be a good player for a long time.

Allen's advanced stats and efficiency are nutty for a 20 year old "project" playing on a shitty team. Him playing as a sophomore at Texas would have been an utter waste of time.

God you are fucking dumb.

To your other point, Allen and Turner are probably 2 of the best 300 players... in the world. Making it in the NBA and not even dipping your toes in the D League waters is absolutely crushing it when you're claiming that they should have spent more time at Texas. They will both make 9 figures in the NBA in their careers.

And you missed my point entirely.  It's like the old argument about "yeah, Mack Brown can recruit better than anyone but he's so terrible on gameday.  If he were great on gameday we'd be unstoppable".  Well, yeah.  People are what they are, and they achieve success in different ways.  You're arguing that Turner would be way better than Sabonis if he just possessed a similar physicality and nose for position .  I could just as easily argue that Sabonis would be way better than Turner if he could shoot.  In the end, both lack complete games, which is true of almost every basketball player on the planet.
