A lot of recruiting/scouting in basketball is based on potential and many players don't pan out.  If you play Banks, you are taking minutes away from someone else.  Banks didn't deserve to be on the court.  He didn't earn PT and that sucks for everyone involved.  I wish him well.

Yet, Osetkowski deserved to play 35+ MPG. You know no one though Jordan Barnett deserved to play. He transferred, got better coaching and improved. He shot over .400 from BTA while helping lead Missouri into the NCAA tournament. The problem here is that Shaka is running these kids off before the developmental kids have time to develop. Then people say "this team is so young," more [bs, bs, bs], you can't blame him for the poor play.

Ah no.  DO absolutely deserved to play.  Barnett plays on an uber shitty Mizzou team and his departure had nothing to do with Smart.  He left because Barnes was fired and Barnett wanted to get back home to Missouri.

Watch VCU when Shaka was there.  It takes a lot of competent bodies to run havoc.  Texas does not have that.  Any good coach will adapt until he/she has the personnel to run the system they prefer.

lulz. 3 years in and Shaka still doesn't have the personnel to run Havoc. Dumbass, he's not even trying to recruit those players. So the least efficient offensive player on the team deserved to play the most minutes? Barnett left after he played for Shaka, and that uber shitty Missouri team had a similar season to Texas while losing their best player for all but 3 games.

Haha!  They played in a shitty conference and I don't consider their season similar.  You don't understand Ball brah.  Chill. It will all work out.

Let me guess....you played pro or D1? If not then shut the fuck up with "you don't know ball, bro" bullshit. It only makes you sound like a clown

Also, the SEC was not shitty this year.

But considering Barnett was an idiot and got himself suspended for Mizzou's most important game of the season, I'm not going to hold that one over Shaka.

Doesn't negate the fact that Barnett became a major rotation player at another P6 conference school, while our own idiot, Davis, did little to improve other than his fatness.

We should on paper have a decent squad next year. Unfortunately, we have the same shitty coaching staff, so expecting anything more than squeaking into the tournament and losing during the opening weekend is about the level of expectations one should have.

This right here. Some of yall making this shit difficult.

So, to wrap up everything from TooTexy-

•Shaka is a great coach who is doing a good job

•DO deserved to play 35 mpg and to lead the team in USG

•Anyone who disagrees with TooTexy on either of these doesn’t know shit about basketball

camelback? It’s proably camelback.

I don't blame him for transferring....he never got to play. We could've won the Duke game if Shaka had used Banks down the stretch to check Bagley. Instead, coach dumbass went small and let Bagley assrape us repeatedly....no lube at all.

If you aren’t going to do what’s necessary in practice, coaches can’t play you in games.

Not serious at all, but wouldn't be shocked if that is what happened.

It's not in any way similar to Marchiol.

1) Texas was never blocking Banks or immediate eligibility. It was the NCAA that cleared him.

2) Banks justification for transferring was "family issues" so the NCAA likely gave him a waiver since he's close to home (Georgia).
