Olivia Colman rules. Haven’t seen that flick but she was fantastic in Broadchurch and The Night Manager. She seems as genuine as anyone in that industry can be.

Agreed.  She's a treasure who Americans don't really know much about.  All of her fellow actors love her too....

So with a minimum of splashy performance sequences, no monologues from a host, and it's 10 past 10 and we're still not done.

Why don't they just start at 4 pacific?  Or move the don't-care categories to the technical event 2 weeks ago or whenever it was.

They already did.  They moved 4 awards off tonight, they should simply start an hour earlier.

Green Book wins Best Pic.... Interesting.  It's was a really solid, feel good flick, but not a great film.  It was a poor year for "Oscar films".

How does that work? Members are asked to rank all of the best picture nominees from best to worst — and then the rest is handled by PwC, the Academy's longtime accountants. PwC begins by sorting through the best picture ballots and creating piles for each film listed in the top spot on a ballot. This year, for example, there will be one pile in which Roma is listed as top film, another for Green Book, etc.
