Welp, the Texas delegation and a couple of gals from Nigeria came strong to the Vatican.  But, in the end, it looks as if the action-items post-conference will be about as effective as me leaving an investment summit telling 7 people, "Yeah, let's follow up next month..."

Took 2,000 years to have a C-Level "Let's agree to not face-fuck children" and best they came up with is, "Yeah, there's a problem here."

Also, if you had a drink every time a Bishop, Cardinal, Laity-member, or Pope said "Concrete" in any language...you're drunk and should probably check your butthole after you wake up from your blackout.

Jesus Christ.

See you guys in 10 years on the next thread. Episode 3: Revenge of the Pedo

I’m not worried.  My grandchildren will read catholic stories with the same mythological awe that I read stories about mount Olympus

The most long-standing, powerful institutions go out not with a bang, but with a whimper.   Specifically, the whimper of a frightened child being face fucked by the very man chaperoning your nephews this week

Jesus....

A Roman Catholic priest in Austin has been accused of groping a woman in hospice care while he performed a last rites ceremony in October, court documents said.

The Rev. Gerold Langsch, 75, has been charged with assault by contact, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in a county jail and a maximum fine of $4,000.

An arrest affidavit filed last week said the 60-year-old woman suffered from several medical conditions including diabetes, and was put into hospice care at her home because of renal failure. Her husband reached out to the Knights of Columbus to tell them about his wife’s illness, and the group said it would send a priest over to give the woman her last rites, the affidavit said.

Langsch was known to the woman, who is not being named because of the nature of the allegation, as Father Gerold of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Austin Police Department investigators said. The affidavit said Langsch arrived arrived Oct. 5 and used a bottle of holy water to anoint the woman’s chest three times, before he pulled out a separate bottle of lotion and began to apply it to her chest.

The document said Langsch massaged the woman’s breast, pinched her nipple and asked, “Does that feel good?”

The woman said she was in shock and felt like a “nasty, dirty piece of meat,” the affidavit said, adding that Langsch also tried to put his hand down the woman’s adult diaper and lift her leg, which caused her pain because she also suffered from neuropathy.

Austin police Detective Steven McCormick said the woman reported the incident to police on Oct. 10. On March 13, the woman picked Langsch out of a photo lineup as the man who assaulted her, the affidavit said.

I like how he wasn't reassigned after this incident, it took one more incident (mentioned later in the full article at the link) and then police action before they thought to take serious action with this piece of shit.  But it was only 6 months of full on sexual assault before they took administrative and legal action.  So that's actually progress for this wonderful institution.  Not to dismiss what these two women went through, but I wish they moved with this much punitive fervor when it came to face raping small children---who are scarred for decades, not just years.

And while I believe in our presumption of innocence legally, I'm going to go out on a moral limb (the Catholic Church's favorite place to be), and guess this guy didn't suddenly get gropey/rapey at age 75.  Just a hunch.  Then again, some people at the end of a career start to play fast and loose figuring there ain't much to lose.

The fuck man---molesting someone at Last Rites?  I've heard of some twisted sexual fetishes, but this one might take the cake.  This is more fucked up than sex with a dead body.

Pro Tip to Father Langsch:  a good Catholic Priest does not molest someone at Last Rites.   They do it at First Communion.

The Dallas Police Department executed search warrants at three Catholic Diocese of Dallas properties Wednesday morning, looking for records of sexual abuse related to five priests.
...
Dallas police Maj. Max Geron, with the department's special investigations division, said Wednesday's raid was the furtherance of an investigation into sexual abuse allegations against Rev. Edmundo Paredes, the longtime pastor of St. Cecilia Parish who was credibly accused of sexual abuse by the Diocese of Dallas last year.

Since the Paredes investigation became public, Geron said, the department has received additional allegations of child abuse against other priests. The search warrant documents obtained by NBC 5 Wednesday morning identified the others as 77-year-old Richard Thomas Brown, 77-year-old Alejandro Buitrago, 63-year-old William Joseph Hughes Jr, and 62-year-old Jeremy Myers.

According to the search warrant (Pg. 4), all five priests are accused of sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony, however Dallas police clarified that statement Wednesday afternoon to say that the only one of the five priests to have been charged in the case is Paredes.

All of the men named in the search warrant were included on the list of priests incardinated by the Diocese of Dallas who were credibly accused of sexual abuse by the diocese earlier this year. None of the men, Geron said, have been arrested.

Geron said the search warrants executed Wednesday serve to further the investigations into those five priests and that detectives are looking for records, data, or other evidence of records of abuse held by the diocese.

"The Dallas Police Department is working to complete a thorough investigation into each allegation independent of any other entitity to ensure that each victim has a voice within the legal system," Geron said.

The Dallas Catholic Diocese had hired it's own investigators to review church records from the past.

"What the police wanted to do was talk to those investigators, but they were denied access to them by the diocese," said Dallas Morning News Writer David Tarrant, who has been covering the Parades investigation.

"Now what we have is law enforcement getting involved and saying, 'No, we’re going to control this investigation, not the Catholic Church.' ...

Does the Catholic Church ever stop to consider that fucking Subway restaurants is a more honest and transparent and proactive institution than they are.

And this is a company that blatantly hid the fact that they bread was made out of old yoga mats.

Yes, but my point was that Subway with 1/billionth the budget of the Catholic Church managed to get out in front of face fucking kids faster than they did.  And they both serve mediocre bread products in overpriced real estate.  The similarities are endless...
