edit- HEY! Dutchrudder mad an actual post about the show while i was responding to the litany of posts about me. Hooray! maybe the thread will once again be about its titular TV show, and not how sandy everyone's vag is over a differing opinion.

And the top meme from R&M in the last 2 eps:

Apparently pirated versions of  S4E1 were showing up on Pornhub, and people were watching it there. Seems like a smart idea if they don't check their content. I'm kind of surprised they don't have a bot that scans audio and video to check for copyright issues like Youtube does, but maybe they will start doing something like that. I can't imagine what it would be like to live in a world without torrents, it must be miserable never being able to watch what you want.

One quarter we had mostly built out a floor on our building but nobody was using it yet, and that handicapped bathroom was my special pooping place.

Also in our old building (which was run down/not a real office) had a bathroom behind the server racks that was called "the rat bathroom" because of an incident when the toilet was destroyed and some vermin had come up the plumbing.  It got fixed and was perfectly fine, but the name stuck and there were some cardboard boxes leaned up against the door and most people didn't even know about it.  That, too, was my special pooping place.

Holy crap that actually reminds me of an old job where the floor below us had a bathroom in a locked down space for about a year, except my security card still unlocked it since it was previously a law firm that I had after hours access to... everyone uses that floors main restrooms but the private restroom was only available to me and my night manager. We had an understanding, I used the normal and he had the hdnaicap stall

One of the best episodes in recent memory. The "twist" at the end had me rolling.

I love the original Ocean's 11. Yeah, it's a heist movie, but the twist at the end is that they mess up and lose all the money. While certainly not a realistic movie, it lands better than I dunno, creating a man made earthquake and using a electromagnetic pulse to steal some diamonds.

The purposefully stupid "I'm just here to check the water pressure" bit landed hard because my poor grandparents fell for something like that a long time ago and had a few things stolen from their house.

No, you’re all wrong. This episode had, like, zero laughter in its eyes.

I've refrained from posting in this thread and left you guys to your little circle jerk over that last episode which in fact was awful, and one that only someone with a room temperature IQ could find funny ("you son of a bitch. i'm in!" ZOMG LMMFAO THEY KEEP ON SAYING THE CATCHPHRASE, OMG SO FUNNY!) but hey, keep calling me out dumbass, and i'll be sure to give a lengthy review of every terrible episode that they pump out this year. moron.

The first half of episode 3 was great, roughly up until the crowd rips apart the heist artist. The second half mostly sucked. They beat the you-son-of-a-bitch line into the ground. That is arguably part of the joke, just like the lame, planet-wide heists, but it falls flat. The second half wasn't bad, just mostly boring with an occasional chuckle. The Netflix pitch and Rick's callous behavior afterwards were alright, though not funny at all. The after-credits scene offered some redemption, hitting a great mix of apathy and dark humor.

I'm starting to wonder if the back part of season 3 and season 4 so far are the prequel to evil Morty and not the further adventures of the C-137 duo.

I don't know what the temperature of my iq is, but I still find the show smart and funny. The whole idea of the show mocking both itself and its audience at the same time by spoofing heist movies with Rick as the know it all kingpin of the universe is at the very least, self aware. I mean, isn't that what the show is about every week? Rick knowing how everything is going to unfold and letting it play out regardless?

yeah, i was gonna ask that. damn it, that sucks. although i haven't enjoyed any of this season's episodes i still would like to get to watch more than five of them after such a long break.

I've seen hints they'll release more episodes "soon", but nothing definitive. Harmon is on his own time, and nobody else's. He's like George R.R. Martin, keep him alive and keep the keyboard clicking.

this show is not good anymore. really bad season that doesn't even resemble the show we used to watch before the three year break or whatever. also, it's a 100% fact that every time sow runners decide that making a point >>>> writing anything funny/original, the show falls off a cliff. South Park did it, and now Dan Harmon has done it too with Rick and Morty. Really sucks.

I don't agree with Derka that the show isn't funny anymore, but it is not what it was. Most episodic shows have trouble sustaining character development across several seasons and get stale. That staleness can be made tolerable if there is a visible connection to the overall character or story arcs, at least some of the time. I'm having trouble seeing any connection. The main characters seem like hollowed out shells compared to their season 3 selves. The gags still work, some or even most of the time, but those too foten come off as the showrunners throwing shit up against the wall. Honestly, I'm really hoping my this-is-a-prequel-season theory (or something similar) is true, because otherwise we've been through this crap for nothing. Throwaway eps happen. Throwaway half seasons?
