I finally found something more brutal to watch than our men's team.

Texas looks rushed on offensive end.  When they penetrate, Horns need to pump fake more.  Somebody has to hit some jumpshots at the guard position for the Lady Horns to come back in this game.

You’ve never seen this team that doesn’t run any offense besides “turn it over and miss layups”

Last 7 minutes and 28 seconds of the 2nd qtr, Lady Longhorns held scoreless......

Halftime..... Baylor 27......... Texas 16

End of 3qtrs.....

Baylor 52...... Texas 26

Texas only 1 for last 10 shots..... DAMN

I know Lashann Higgs getting hurt was a big blow to this Texas WBB team, but this is the worst coaching job Karen Aston has done while at Texas.

Losing Travis Mays coaching along with the graduations of Brooke McCarty and Ariel Atkins has resulted in poor guard play on this year's Lady Horns team -- especially on offense.  Also Tina Thompson's post coaching has been missed since she left for Head Coaching job at UVA......

Filling the staff with Exes - but not good ones - was bad. Carey’s “offensive schemes” are truly offensive. Dunno what TJJ does. George is only there until Lashann graduates.

Not every good player is a good coach. TJJ is not a Tina

Great stuff..... Texas WBB shouldn't lose as poorly as tonight to anyone....

Karen needs to get her shit together quick, or The Texas WBB Program will suffer.

Yes but they were perfect Plonsky and Jody hires that is all that matters

2nd fewest points scored in a game in program history might get her on the radar.

In theory, yes.

In reality, no.  The MBB issue is far bigger.   This loss stung, but we're still 21-7, in the top 25 and headed to another NCAA tournament (safely, not on the bubble).

CDC's attention is to the dumpster fire that is Shaka's program.  A constantly 2nd place in conference Texas WBB team that recruits pretty well, has made 4 Sweet 16s in a row and is ranked consistently is an easy enough sell to alumni when it comes to the new arena.  A middling, near .500 men's program that recruits extremely well and is on the bubble and has 0 tournament wins under Shaka is not a draw.

The Texas MBB faithful is a lot more fair weather than the WBB faithful.  Jody put butts in the seats 30 years ago and those old dykes still show up and fork over cash to her and Plonsky.

Not even close.

Yeah.

I'm not turning on Karen until next year.  Because a starting 5 of Sug-Higgs-Littleton-Holmes-Prince should win games and be in contention for the Big 12, barring another disasterful injury to our star.  And your bench of Allen-Taylor, Collier, Taylor, Underwood and the Aussies is really good.

I mean, god damnit, if you give me the above roster WITH Danni Williams, we are serious contenders.  I hope we go after a similar Danni-type GT in the offseason.
