2019 Texas Rangers Thread

Took the kids out to the game last night since this was the last weekend before school starts. The Josh speech was as awkward in person as it must've looked on TV.
He went on the tv broadcast for an inning plus and it was magical.

3-1 count, chance to load the bases with two outs, and Odor swings at high outside pitch in the ninth. Takes the next pitch, of course, which is  lower and on the edge of the strike zone... ball game. He should be the designated last hitter. No discipline. Big contract or not, sit his ass on the bench. Everybody on this team is sharing time except this sob. Fuck Woodward.

Rangers, 3 runs on ten hits. Twins, six runs on eight. Odor 0-5. BA .204

Two errors, both by Santana, including a flat out dropped catch at first base. That kept Lynn on the mound in the first two or three innings -  and gave them runs.

Odor's last at bat, 2-2 count, he steps aside to rip a piece of tape off the handle. Steps back in and swings at the usual high pitch. He should worry less about tape.

Maybe he should start batting right handed, and start over from scratch.

When Solak got the "hit" that won the game on Tu nite, it was quite a celebration afterward. Scored the tying run tonight in the eighth.

He's 2 for 3 with one BB. Scored three times tonight. Time to put him at second and forget about Odor (who managed a weak grounder to the pitcher pinch hitting tonight)

Willie is a professional hitter.  It appears Solak might have a chance to be as well.

Who knows what happens between now and next April but as it stands I want Solak and Willie hitting in front of Joey

They're two top rated-ish prospects are an 80grade CF (Leody) and a catcher that should probably start next year in Frisco (Huff).  Not to mention Jung and Apostel who is demolishing High A as a 20 year old.  On Base in 22 straight games.

You don't have to squint to see a pretty good core.

Yesterday, the bottom 4 hitters were  2 for 16. That includes Rugie Ofor, 0 for 4. If you ask me, Woodward wants to shove Rugie down Daniels' throat to make sure that the Rangers find a way to get rid of him before next year. Otherwise, he'd just stick his ass on the bench.

Solak was 2 for 4. Willie was 2 for 4.
